Over the years, C-TEC has expanded its product line to include variations of CT1, such as CT1 Clear, CT1 Power Grab ‘n’ Bond, and others, each tailored to specific applications. Application: M etals (including lead), Wood, Glass, Mirrors, MDF, Polystyrene, Fiberglass, Tiles, Concrete, Most stones, Most synthetic materials, Plastics (excluding PP, PE and PTFE) Immediately after applying the sealant, use a sealant tool or a moistened finger to smooth and shape the bead. This helps ensure proper adhesion and creates a neat finish. Remove any excess sealant. Although CT1 adhesive was not tested by Ultimate Handyman in the above adhesive strength test, he did test the old formula of both CT1 adhesive and Adiseal adhesive in a previous adhesive strength. In that test, the old formula of Adiseal adhesive was shown to be stronger than the old formula of CT1 adhesive. Tip: To store Adiseal once opened, leave about 1cm worth of product out of the nozzle and store the tube upright in a cool dry place. Adiseal requires moisture for it to cure. The exposed part out of the nozzle will cure creating a cap. To re-use Adiseal, pull the cured part out or cut the nozzle until the uncured part is reached.

Sealing Windows and Sunroofs: Its resistance to UV rays and extreme temperatures makes it an excellent choice for automotive applications. In a previous independent adhesive strength test conducted by Ultimate Handyman, the test compared the old formulas of CT1 and Adiseal in a metal-to-metal adhesive strength test. The results showed that the old formula of CT1 broke at 148 psi, while the old formula of Adiseal broke at 201 psi. This test clearly demonstrated that even the old formula of Adiseal outperformed the old formula of CT1 in terms of bond strength. The new formula of Adiseal exhibited even greater strength, breaking at 245 psi in the metal-to-metal test. Furthermore, Adiseal achieved an astonishing 3123 + psi in the wood-to-metal test without breaking. Having used the two most expensive brands on numerous occasions, I’ll be trying out the others, especially the Adiseal.As can be seen in the image, Adiseal sealant has stronger mould resistance than CT1 sealant. After being submerged in the same water for 24 days, CT1 sealant has discoloured below the water line due to mould growth whereas Adiseal sealant has remained mould free. As well as Adiseal adhesive sealant being better than CT1 sealant adhesive in numerous ways, Adiseal products are also lower priced than CT1 products. CT1 product

It would be easy for us to say Adiseal Hi-Grab is better than CT1 Power Grab n Bond but to be fair to the CT1 Power Grab n Bond adhesive, we are not making any performance comparison claims with these 2 products. We think both of these products perform similar but Adiseal Hi-Grab adhesive is lower priced than CT1 Power Grab n Bond adhesive.
