You'll want to ensure your tent footprint is the same size as the tent you're pitching – several manufacturers sell footprints specifically to fit certain tent models. This again is a rather large area and we used it as our kitchen/food preparation area. There’s no ground sheet in this area, so there’s no slipping problems if there are any spills. The central living area in the tent is a rather decent size. The beam shape on the Berghaus Freedom 7 means the walls are almost vertical, resulting in much bigger feeling and useable living space inside. In the living area, we used the carpet out of the Berghaus Telstar tent and it was almost a perfect fit.
