About this deal

Each of the two creme eggs come to 177 calories, which comes to an overall amount of 1,174 calories per box. Obviously, this isn't to say that you should avoid eating chocolate this Easter weekend, but it's always good to have it as part of a balanced diet. Milk Chocolate Egg Share or save your chocolate egg! Know Your Servings 1/5 Egg = 1 Serving Or KitKat® Chunky Know Your Servings 1 Bar = 1 Serving Kit Kats are a combination of crispy wafers and smooth chocolate coating. However, does this delicious candy also have eggs in it? Wheat: Kit Kat contains wheat flour, making it unsuitable for those with wheat allergies or gluten intolerance.

So, I was given the task of buying some of the biggest names on our shelves, giving them a nibble and ranking them. I bought a Cadbury Creme Egg Easter Egg, a Maltesers Teasers Easter Egg, a Galaxy Enchanted Eggs Easter Egg, and a KitKat Easter Egg. Nestlé, PO Box No 203, York, YO91 1XY, England. Nestlé Ireland, 3030 Lake Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24. So it's around a similar value to the Cadbury egg, if not on sale, and offers another nice option if you don't want a Cadbury Easter Egg. If you're going out of your way to buy a Galaxy Easter Egg, personally I think it's only justified that you expect the chocolate egg to be made from Galaxy, not the same plain, underwhelming chocolate you get in all other Mars Inc Easter eggs. I was really disappointed because I had high hopes for this egg, and then I realised I'd bought an Easter Egg pretty much identical to the last, give or take the chocolate that comes with it.

Maltesers Teasers

Cadbury is the classic staple when it comes to Easter Eggs. However, Mars and Nestlé also put out plenty of options for families to consider. Maltesers provide a good offering, but the egg was a bit underwhelming (Image: Corey Bedford/LeicestershireLive) Also new to the Rowntree's range are Jelly Tots Tropical Tots. A vegan friendly treat, Tropical Tots are made with real fruit juice and come in five tangy flavours: passion fruit, peach, pineapple, grapefruit and mango. Jelly Tots Tropical Tots are available exclusively in Tesco stores from the middle of February. These are the allergens found in this candy:

I'd still give it a solid 7/10, just for presentation of the interior, the better value for money, and the chocolate on offer was still nice enough and enjoyable. Galaxy Enchanted Eggs Getting into the taste, the chocolate tasted good, it had a bit more of a snap to it than the Cadbury chocolate egg, but had a good sweetness to it. It did feel like it was missing something compared with the Cadbury egg, though. The Kitkat bunnies are quite nice, too. The chocolate is nice, like the egg, with small pieces of wafer inside them. Would I rather have actual Kitkats in the Easter Egg? Of course. But it's a nice addition that makes it feel more like an Easter egg. Aero Senior Brand Manager Marion Miles said: " Aero is renowned for its unique combination of chocolate and bubbles that melt effortlessly in your mouth, giving you a little uplifting moment. The science and technology behind Aero made it unique from the start - but we continually look for new ways to innovate and delight fans. We are thrilled to introduce a completely different way to experience our famous bubbles this year, with new Aero Melts. Perfect for sharing, Aero Melts flood the mouth with bubbly chocolate for a truly delicious treat." Easter is here, and you know what that means, it's time to choose a chocolate egg from the colourful and alluring shop displays. Of course, everyone has their own personal preferences, but with so many on offer it can be difficult to work out which taste best or represent the best value for money.

Cadbury Creme Egg

I think the chocolate egg breaks the best out of the three different eggs on offer, it breaks into a few bigger pieces quite easily, but not enough to make a big mess. Presentation-wise, the box also comes with a basket-style inner card, but the enchanted eggs came in a very plain white bag, not very "enchanted" looking as the name suggests.

Up first is the Cadbury Creme Egg, an Easter staple and I thought was the best way to start the review. The box comes with a large Cadbury chocolate egg and two individual creme eggs. Overall, the weight comes to 233g - a 153g chocolate egg and two 40g creme eggs.According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the most common food allergens include milk, peanuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat. Watch: I tried tinned tomatoes from Aldi, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S and others - and one tasted like water After a thorough examination of the ingredients, it is evident that there are no direct mentions of eggs. Kit Kat candies are egg-free as is further verified by the allergen information below. Kit Kat Allergens Peanuts: Kit Kat bars are produced in facilities that may also handle peanuts. Up next is the first offering from Mars Inc, the Malteasers Teasers egg. Breaking it down, the overall box comes in at 220g, consisting of a 150g large chocolate egg and two 35g Teasers bars. Calorie-wise, the Maltesers egg comes in at 792 calories with a recommended six portions of 132 calories. The Teasers bars come in at 187 calories each, bringing the calorie count to 1,166 calories overall. Presentation-wise, the box is bright and colourful with a hole for you to see the egg inside, a classic Cadbury move - but the interior was a lot of plain white card, leaving a lot to be desired.
