About this deal

Rogue isn't like the other X-Men. Not by a longshot! She hails from Mississippi, so not only does she possess that sugary sweet southern accent, but she's well versed in the art of southern hospitality. That means when she's using her super strength to pummel a bad guy into pulp, she still makes sure to be kind and polite about it. She might even shake Mister Sinister's hand before throwing him through a wall. Actually, maybe she could teach Wolverine a thing or two about being polite! Rogue returned to the Mansion and led the Advocates Squad in the school's new squad system. She soon found that Gambit was being seduced by latest X-Kid and Chevaliers Squad member Foxx. Foxx was actually Mystique in disguise, who sought to break up Gambit and Rogue. She believed she had found someone better for Rogue and was not particularly fond of Gambit. The X-Men voted, and Mystique was allowed to be a probationary member of the X-Men, a decision neither Rogue nor Gambit liked. It was just a really fresh look for Storm overall. It made her feel more down to earth and approachable, and less like an untouchable goddess. I like when Storm has a sense of humour and when she reminds us that she is actually a human too, and I think that she was really at one of her most relatable times when she was wearing this costume. Rogue was stripped of her powers for a time, as well as the remaining portions of Carol's personality that had haunted her. Rogue ended up powerless in the Savage Land, where she was taken in by Magneto. Rogue ultimately saw through Magneto's noble facade when he killed the high priestess Zaladane, who had amassed an army of Savage Land natives, so she left. Flight: Rogue is able to fly through the air at great speeds, the exact limit of which isn't known; however, she can presumably now fly at speeds in excess of 700 mph.

Not long after, Rogue was approached by Mystique, who sought her out on the advice of her precognitive partner, Destiny. The couple ultimately took Rogue in as a daughter. In time Mystique turned Rogue's loneliness, envy, bitterness, and despair into anger, thus recruiting her into the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. After Xavier’s death, Rogue adopted a uniform that looked very similar to her original Brotherhood one. It consisted on a green, hooded top with white trimming, which zipped up the front. She wore green leggings and green thigh-high boots. She sometimes wore a white belt with it too. [Uncanny Avengers (1st series) #1] It was eventually discovered that Mystique had two sons: the now-deceased anti-mutant politician Graydon Creed and Rogue's long-time teammate, Nightcrawler. Rogue and Nightcrawler considered themselves to be siblings, although the revelation did not particularly alter their friendship.Rogue’s first costume was a green suit including a hood, thus nearly covering her entire body, fearing she would accidentally absorb another person. However, the gloves could be easily removed, in case she wanted to use her talent on an opponent. The original version had a dark green outline, though it was later colored white. [Avengers Annual #10] When Rogue and most of the residents of Muir Island were mentally possessed by the Shadow King, she was seen wearing several different outfits. One was her costume from the Australia days, another an entirely green outfit with a pale yellow chest area and long cape. The outfit presented here was the one she wore performing in an arena. It’s a dark blue bodysuit with a yellow vest, gloves and boots worn over it. There was also another look, quite similar to this, consisting of a gray bodysuit and blue attributes. [Uncanny X-Men (1st series) #278-280] Rogue traveled to Muir Island, where she fell under the control of the Shadow King. As her powers returned, she and the X-Men defeated the Shadow King, and she rejoined the team. During this conflict, she had her first encounter with the new X-Man called Gambit, while they were both under the Shadow King's influence. The uninhibited and corrupting influence of Farouk led to them making out. When the mind control ended, Gambit remembered their encounter, but Rogue did not, leading to an awkward encounter afterwards. Following the disbandment of the Avengers Unity Division, Rogue was called in together with Iceman to lead the X-Men and the Xavier Institute after Kitty Pryde had been arrested due to the machinations of anti-mutant activist Lydia Nance. During this time, Rogue's romance with Gambit reignited when Kitty sent them undercover to couples' therapy, at the Paraíso Island Retreat Center, where Charmaine's powers forced them to confront the events of their past from each other's point of view. Mystique seemingly tried to repair her relationship with Rogue but was rebuffed. Rogue's team defeated the group known as the Children of the Vault. Afterward, Rogue declared her team would be leaving the X-Mansion. Rogue was hospitalized after a battle with Pandemic. Cable, desiring Rogue's help in defeating the Hecatomb, forced Rogue awake. Pandemic infected Rogue with a virus, Strain 88, altering her powers by amplifying them into an instantaneous death-touch. In defeating Hecatomb, Rogue absorbed psyches of eight billion entities that had been stored inside it.

One version of Rogue did not only absorb Ms. Marvel on a permanent basis, but also her teammate Colossus. During the X-Men’s conflict with the Hellfire Club, Rogue tried to save Colossus who was sinking into the ground thanks to Harry Leland’s control over gravity. Cruelly, Selene disintegrated Rogue’s glove, so that would have to choose between absorbing him or letting him suffocate under the ground. In the main reality, Rogue let go of him in time, whereas in the Mutant X universe, she hesitated too long. Having three personalities in her head rendered Rogue a bit unstable and she hardly spoke to anyone. She continued to fight alongside the X-Men, their line-up also including Nightcrawler and Mystique, but it was left unclear what, if any, relations she had to them. Rogue died alongside most other heroes of this Earth when they fought the combined threats of the Beyonder, Dracula and the Goblin Force. She now has the power to leech away both the abilities and life energy of others from a good distance away, eliminating the need to touch enemies to swipe their abilities and memories.Superhuman Stamina: Her ionic body presumably grants her unlimited stamina and is therefore immune to fatigue. In the Age of Apocalypse, the conflicts between humans and mutants started several years earlier than they were supposed to, and soon all North America resembled a huge battleground. Once her mutant powers manifested, Rogue went on the run and for some unknown reason she came into conflict with Polaris, during which she absorbed half of the green-haired mutant’s magnetic abilities. Later on, Mystique brought her to Magneto and she became one of his X-Men. Rogue was present when the Scarlet Witch died and promised to take care of her father, Magneto. Over the years, they grew closer, fell in love and married after Magneto found a way to use his magnetic field to bypass Rogue’s absorption talent. The pair even had a child whom they named Charles, after Magneto’s long dead friend, Charles Xavier. Rogue co-led the X-Men even after the mutants had finally overcome Apocalypse’s rule, and she helped her husband to make the world a better place. She even stood by his side after learning that Magneto had made a deal with the devil, or actually Mr. Sinister, and understood his need to atone for his crime by going to prison. Steve Rogers considered that Rogue would be a great asset to any team as leader or second-in-command and would benefit teams of new generation heroes like the Runaways or the Young Masters, and that she would be the perfect candidate to lead the Thunderbolts if Luke Cage was to step down from that position. He would later make her leader of the Avengers Unity Division. Speaking of Ponytails, Rogue also wore one during her time spent on Utopia, and in my opinion, it – and her costume – was marginally better than her revolution one.
