Yamaha A-S301 has external dimensions of (H x W x D) 5-15/16inch x 17-1/8inch x 15-3/8inch (151.0mm x 435.0mm x 391.0mm ). The unit weighs 9.00kg / 19.8lbs. We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense.Once you jump to the A-S801 you get some high end DAC features. The A-S801 has a premium ESS Sabre 32-bit DAC (ES90110K2M) with USB input. The A-S801’s USB DAC will handle native DSD (2.8 MHz / 5.6 MHz) and PCM (384 kHz / 32-bit). We’re planning on reviewing the A-S801 later this year and suspect it will bust the 100 watt power rating on our bench. The Yamaha A-S301's built-in DAC allows the connection of digital sources directly, eliminating the need for an external DAC. The DAC chip that is used in the A-S301 is the Texas Instruments PCM5101, and supports resolutions up to 24-bit, 192KHZ. We’ve put together a comparison table below so that you can see the similarities and differences between the different models.

Fast forward to today and one would think that the future of sound was in multichannel, immersive audio. Although Yamaha stays on the bleeding edge in home theater advancements, they do so while still staying true to their audiophile heritage as evidenced by their new lineup of integrated amplifiers. Would you experience an amplifiers shortage of current as a drop in volume, or as inaccuracy involving these frequencies? Unlike the integrated amps of yesteryear, these new models have been designed for the modern audiophile. All models have a subwoofer out, optical and coaxial digital inputs. The major difference between the A-S301, A-S501, A-S701 lies in their amplification stage. Some above suggest that the Q100 is an 8 ohm speaker. But its impedence is below 4 ohms at 120 Hz, and then at 150Hz the impedence is 6 ohm but the phase shift makes it considerably lower in effect, maybe 4.5 ohm. And that's a fair range of notes around 3 octaves up from the lowest note on a piano. Please note: TV and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands.IV1, IV2, IV3, IV4, IV5, IV6, IV7, IV8, IV9, IV10, IV11, IV12, IV13, IV14, IV15, IV16, IV17, IV18, IV19, IV20, IV21, IV22, IV23, IV24, IV25, IV26, IV27, IV28, IV29, IV30, IV31, IV32, IV33, IV34, IV35, IV36, IV37, IV38, IV39, IV40, IV41, IV42, IV43, IV44, IV45, IV46, IV47, IV48, IV49, IV50, IV51, IV52, IV53, IV54, IV55, IV56, IV57, IV58, IV59, IV60, IV61, IV62, IV63, IV64, IV65, IV66, IV67, IV68, IV69, IV70, IV71, IV72, IV73, IV74, IV75, IV76, IV77, IV78, IV79, IV80, IV81, IV82, IV83, IV84, IV85, IV86, IV87, IV88, IV89, IV90, IV91, IV92, IV93, IV94, IV95, IV96, IV97, IV98, IV99 ToP-ART design and ART base ensuresoptimum sound. When processing and transmission of the audio signal is simple and direct, there is less chance of it being affected by noise and distortion. Yamaha’s amplifier design technology called ToP-ART features an I/O (input to output) Direct Symmetrical Design, with left and right channels organised in a straight, symmetrical layout for highest signal purity. In addition, the ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base bottom chassis and a solid centre bar provide high-rigidity support and vibration damping. These Yamaha design innovations contribute to this amplifier's rich audio reproduction with abundant musicality. Created by Yamaha's Rich Experience and Tradition, and High Technological Expertise But, on the other hand, doubling perceived volumes in bass frequencies is less of an increase than a similarly perceived change in higher frequencies. (Toole, Ch. 4.4) So be sure to adjust your tone controls accordingly. (Toole, Ch. 4.5) And who knows what the recording engineer used for a volume setting. (Well, it was probably louder, and he probably had hearing loss.)
