About this deal

Anthony Horowitz (9 November 2009). "Alex Rider exclusive: Incident in Nice". The Times. London . Retrieved 15 November 2009. It is mentioned that the school secretary, Jane Bedfordshire, has always had a soft spot for Alex. [12] [18] Involvement with MI6

This is a solid book! It's a big step up from the last one and you can see how much the world of Alex Rider has matured just in this one book and I am honestly so excited to read the next one! It's going to be so much fun to see where the story goes next! (yes, I have read this whole series before, but I've forgotten most of what happens in the second half) In Eagle Strike, Alex Rider gets acquainted with Damian Cray. He is bent on making the world a better place by destroying a large amount of countries. The history behind Alex is phenomenal. His uncle, an agent for MI6 and Alex's last family member, is killed on a mission for MI6 and Alex is recruited. The climax is intense and full of action. AnthonyBoth had an event-only demonstration place erected to demonstrate their invention (Graves had an ice palace in Iceland to demonstrate the Icarus system, whilst Cray had the Pleasure Dome).

He became known as Yassen instead of Yasha when an injury to his face made it sound like he was saying Yassen when introducing himself. David Friend • Smithers • James Sprintz • Michael J. Roscoe • Wolf • John Crawley • Fiona Friend • Julius Grief Alex's official year of birth is stated as being 1987, with Alex stating in Point Blanc that he was two years old in 1989. [18] However, in Snakehead Alex remembers the Boxing Day Tsunami (2004). [13] Then in the US version of Crocodile Tears, it mentions Obama as being the President of the United States. [24] Considering these events, his birth year would more reliably be February 13, 1996. Sofia Helin as Julia Rothman (season 3), an enigmatic, wealthy widow who is secretly a high ranking agent of the crime syndicate Scorpia. [4] [5] [6] Elements of the first book ‘Stormbreaker’ have been woven in with the main plot of ‘Point Blanc’ to create the new eight-episode series, which introduces the world to teenage MI6 agent Alex. The strange circumstances surrounding the loss of Alex’s uncle Ian Rider (played by Broadchurch’s Andrew Buchan) are borrowed from the first book, as is Alex’s reluctant recruitment by British Intelligence. When it becomes clear that Point Blanc and Greif's Gemini Project are exposed, he reports this to SCORPIA and researches Alex Rider. At the climax of the season, when MI6 cannot tell the difference between Alex and Dr. Greif's clone, Yassen shoots the clone from a sniper position, saving Alex.

Yassen Gregorovich is killed when Damian Cray shoots him in Eagle Strike. Yassen tells Alex that he knew his father, and that he was working with him. His last words are, "Go to Venice. Find Scorpia. And you will find your destiny." Clarke, Stewart (24 July 2018). "Alex Rider Series Heads to TV With Sony, Eleventh Hour". Variety . Retrieved 18 October 2018. The fact that Tom isn't even mentioned in the first four books i.e., Stormbreaker to Eagle Strike, suggests that Alex is not very close to Tom. In the TV series, however, Tom is shown to be very close to Alex. Tom and Alex hang out everyday and in Episode One, when Alex was grounded, Tom says that he cannot go to a school party without Alex. [25] Kyra Vashenko-ChaoThe series isn't just made up of individual adventure stories of espionage. The titles start becoming linked a little further into the series. It seems like Alex has a history. And because of it, his future with MI6 seems shaky and will leave the readers guessing. Before Alex was forced to join MI6, he wanted to be a professional footballer, but is now unsure of what he wants to do when he finishes school, once jokingly stating he wanted to be a train driver. He still does not express any interest in following in his father’s and uncle’s footsteps in becoming a full-time MI6 agent.
