To be honest, when I read the ending of the book, I thought that the author was not brave enough. That she just wanted to make everyone happy and satisfied. And that this was not the end that she really wanted. Maybe she wanted a more tragic ending. After I read the AFTERWORD, I realized that this was her attempt to correct things. And I totally support this! Couple of times, actually more, my heart just stopped. No heart beat, no life, just silent stillness. I had to step away periodically to catch my breath and let the oversurge of sentiments just seep in before I poured more. My heart and soul both are so saturated with immense love . I can’t remember the last time I stayed up all night reading a book. It’s been a while. I was a hot mess while reading this book. I cried, I raged, I cried some more, I texted my friend through the late hours of the night (thanks Bella) and I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH! Seriously, what an epic conclusion to this trilogy! It blew me away! My emotions were all over the place, but honestly, that is one of the reasons I love this series so much. It gives me all the feels I need while reading! But Ash Colchester hasn't sworn off Greer--not at all. Still in love with the girl he once kissed in a circle of broken glass, this soldier-turned-President has never forgotten the taste of her kiss or the sound of her whispered, yes, please against his mouth. He's never forgotten the promises he wanted to make her and couldn't because she was too young for him then, and far too innocent for the things he needs. But he can't wait any longer . . .
