Roses de Chloe is a feminine, lush rose scent, accented with citrusy notes to keep it from being girlish and rooting it in subtle sophistication. This kind of rose scent is romantic however, like taking a stroll through a rose garden in late Spring wearing a white dress.

Definitely a mimosa perfume, at least that’s what I smell more clearly, and the rose is the May kind of rose, fresh and lemony so blends in with the lemon. I really like mimosa, so quite happy with it. It is a soft innocent type of scent but does not disappear in 2 hours- I can still smell where I sprayed this on my arm quite clearly 3-4 hours later. It reminds me a bit of Iris Perle from Les Indemodables. In that one the clary sage gives spark to the mimosa, and here the cassis and lemon do the same. Nice. First impression is I like it.hours after the initial application, the pink dewy rose dries down to a classic rose with warm undercurrents. The berry notes are gone. At this point, although not unique, this rose scent is still nice. It remains like this for two more hours until the big let-down. This is when the rose turns all musty and unpleasant. I got a strong musk note that, while probably being synthetic, does carry a bit of an animalic component which I don't love.This is where the fragrance remains until after six hours, the scent is gone without a trace. A fresh and feminine fragrance suited to a free spirit with an utterly innate sense of chic. The scent takes the classic rose and ingeniously translates it into a vibrant perfume, intimate and sensual. Chloé Eau de Parfum begins with a combination of floral powdery notes, hints of peony and lychee and springtime freesia. The airy, flirtatious head notes drift away to reveal the richer and more sensual side of the rose. The distinctive character of this unique rose is accompanied by magnolia and lily of the valley, as well as subtle intimations of warm amber and elegant cedarwood. As the scent continues, the top notes slowly fade away, and the roses take charge. It's a soapy and soft rose. It doesn't smell like authentic roses, especially when I compare it to something like Stella (which actually smells like true mossy, wild roses to me), but it's beautiful nonetheless. After a couple hours, the amber and musk become stronger; the rose matures and loses its playfulness and youthfulness. I'm very sensitive to amber and musk, so I was worried it might be too overpowering, but it's not. Wow, what a beautiful scent! I absolutely love roses, so I decided to give this a chance. I've never tried Chloe EDP, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm in love with this.

Ever since 2018’s release of Chloe Nomade it seems like there is a new team overseeing the perfumes. They have stopped being minimal variations on rose. That history made me wonder if a perfume called Rose Tangerine was a return to that. The perfumers which had me hoping for more are Michel Almairac and Sidonie Lancesseur. What they produced was a variation on rose but something more substantial in keeping with the more recent releases.

And if I, when I can afford yet another fragrance, do buy a bigger bottle ( I only have a 30 ml, with little left) I can allow myself to respray a bit during the day.

The fragrance is enclosed in a modern, delicately pleated bottle adorned with a hand-tied ribbon. It's beautiful as a gift any time of the year or a treat to yourself. Seasonally, this is a spring and summer wear all the way. That’s when it’s going to shine and this isn’t going to get much play in the colder months.Aaabut...my last fragrance post included a bottling of this scent. It was hot that day, the day was stressful I was slightly irritable (but only slightly) and I had a few things to do on the PC.
