About this deal

The Thousand Sons’ Infernal Master is also available separately for the first time. In game, he’s a powerful psyker who can make pacts with Daemons to bolster your forces, and he comes with a few floaty little friends called tutelaries. You can find full rules for fielding an Infernal Master in your games of Warhammer 40,000 in Codex: Thousand Sons . From here you’ve got a little over 800 points left to work with and we still need to budget for Wargear. You’ve got a couple of Troops to grab objectives, you’ve got some Elites to offer up some support, and a few heavy lifters. It’s a solid core to build from. This is really where you’re own personal preferences would take over.

The leader of Strike Force Agastus gets a standalone release, ready to join your Space Marine squads and grant the powerful Lethal Hits ability to all of their weapons. This intensely customisable kit can be equipped in many different ways, from the classic power fist and plasma pistol combo to power swords, bolt rifles, or the dreaded pointing finger. Brutalis Dreadnought You’ve seen the Armouring of a Space Marine ritual where an iconic piece of Warhammer lore was portrayed as it’s never been seen before. Now, you can learn more about the armour of Warhammer’s most recognisable warriors in this week’s new episode of Loremasters . It breaks down the development of Space Marine Power Armour* from the earliest ‘Thunder Armour’ through the Mark III and Mark IV suits, right up to the Mark X worn by Primaris Space Marines. Numbered amongst the most elite warriors in the Imperium. Created by the Emperor himself from the genetic material of the demigod Primarchs, they are the ultimate soldiers for a cruel and terrible age, waging war through a variety of forms, from the full weight of a chapter of 1,000 marines that can destroy entire species, to a small battle force of a few squads that can topple planetary governments and crush chaotic insurrections, either are lethal formations to any foe. Previously only available in the Burning of Prospero boxed set, Geigor Fell-Hand is available separately, for the first time ever, in plastic. He’s champing at the bit to be let loose on the enemies of the Imperium, and will lead your Space Wolves to savage glory on the battlefields of the 31st Millennium. Legiones Astartes: Praetor and Chaplain Consul While Chaos Space Marines are limited to a single Chaos Lord per Detachment, the World Eaters aren’t subject to such petty jealousy. They can field as many beast-bound Lords as their HQ slots allow, meaning you can muster the complete contents of two Combat Patrols – all without needing to spend any Command points on the new Heroic Support Stratagem.

Each story can be bought separately as they release, but to get all five for the price of four, opt for the full-week subscription. Realistically, we need to save around 2-300 points for Wargear. So to play it safe, we’re going to just add another unit. You could go with more Chaos Marines but we’re going to mix it up with a “weird” option to expand our collection. A Venomcrawler, Obliterators, or Possessed could all be fun. I don’t think those are bad options for a brand new army. Overall, unless you need these models because you missed out on that box release, it’s not worth buying this box as the value is far lower than the cost of this box on the secondary market.

Brave, honest and true, they only very occasionally indulge in macabre vampiric rituals with goblets of suspiciously viscous red ‘wine’– and it really is only once in a blue moon that one of them slips into an insane, suicidal killing frenzy fuelled by the overwhelming psychic grief imprinted in his DNA. The Space Marines are genetically modified superhuman soldiers, Angels of death, capable of ridding the galaxy of all forces that do not conform to their own rule through brutal, ruthless warfare. Points-wise that drops us in at 1885 which is still shy of 2000. However, we haven’t spent any points on wargear! That’s where we’re going to leave it though as the Wargear is really up to you. Send In The Vanguard Space Marines So is this Combat Patrol worth it? If you missed out on the Leviathan box and want those Space Marines I think it’s probably worth it. That said…I don’t know how competitive this Combat Patrol really is. The Space Marines DID lose the campaign and these models were featured in it. Kind of a sad state of things when your Terminators and freakin’ Flamer marines couldn’t kill a bunch of lightly armored Tyranids…(and I say that as a Tyranid player). Fortunately, the Norn-Queens have been hard at work splicing together a new Combat Patrol box, which is ideal whether you’re brand new to the Tyranids or have been on board since Hive Fleet Behemoth was first sighted. Here’s all the Warhammer 40k Combat Patrol box values and pricing in our savings breakdown, updated with the latest price increases. Possibly the two greatest inventors in the galaxy pit their grey matter against each other in Genefather , the latest Warhammer 40,000 novel by Guy Haley , as Cawl’s cold logic faces off against Bile’s mad inspiration.
