Bronzers come in cream or putty and powder form and may be matte or shimmery. When selecting a beginner eyeshadow palette, there are a few things to consider. First, choose an eye palette that offers a range of neutral shades, as these are easier to work with. Depending on the look you are going for, you can achieve full coverage or sheer coverage; a dewy, shimmering or matte finish; highlighted and sculpted features; naturally flushed cheeks or high pigment cheek color. Here is a rundown of the most commonly used face makeup: Figure out your skin's undertone. Is your skin more warm, cool, or somewhere in between? For a warm undertone, think earthy vibes with shades of copper, bronze, rose gold and warm browns. If you have cool undertones, go for jewel tones, blues, purples and even silvers. A big selling point, to me, for eyeshadow palettes is variety in the color range. I want to be able to see on the eye that multiple colors are being used to create the look, rather than getting the illusion that one shade was applied all over the lid. You can look in the pans of Berry Bad and Acai You and see there is not much variation between the shades, which translates to the eyes. Pumpkin Pie sort of does this too, but not to the extent of the others. This fact is disappointing, but the palettes still have their time and place. The ELF Hot Jalapeno palette is the most magical out of the whole bunch, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say this green gold eyeshadow wasn’t the main reason I love it so much.

Start by selecting a base shade—something close to your skin tone such as pearl, beige, or peach. Use a flat eyeshadow brush and sweep this shade over your lids and up to your brow bone Foundation comes in cream, liquid, and powder formulas and offers coverage that ranges from sheer to light to medium to full. It can provide a matte finish, a dewy finish, or an iridescent finish. Whatever coverage or finish you need, there is something for you. This one boasts rather pink-toned eyeshadows, really just creamy tones, as the name gives away. I’ve found that all four eyeshadows in the Cream and Sugar palette really applied well, and lasted very well too.The mattes seem to fade after 4-5 hours but the metallics save the night because they really do stay put the entire day. There is some fading when it comes to the reflection of the metallics, though! I don’t use an eye primer (because I don’t have one). Conclusion They make the green in my eyes pop, and the two metallic burgundy shades really do a great job. The only letdown in this palette is the lighter shade, but if you’re going to use it to blend out the darker matte eyeshadow, it still performs quite well.
