About this deal

My main – and completely unscientific – test for the presence of smoke basically came down to whether or not I had to wash my hair before bed! I can’t stand the smell of smoke-filled hair, and on those windier days, I did have to take a shower. Eco-Friendly Operation: Traditional fire pits can release substantial amounts of particulate matter into the air, contributing to air pollution. The Fiesta Garden Stove employs cleaner-burning technology, reducing its environmental impact and allowing you to enjoy your outdoor space responsibly.

Weighing 9.07kg and with a diameter of 49.5cm. It is 35.5 cm high without a stand and 38.5cm tall on the stand. Consequently, the high-quality steel Solo Stove Bonfire takes hardly any effort to move.Wet logs and house coal emit higher levels of PM so if you still want to invest in a fire pit, always burn dry wood.

t’s not recommended to burn cardboard or paper in a Solo Stove as it can release harmful chemicals. Duraflame logs and charcoal are not recommended as they can produce excessive heat and damage the stove. Only burn dry, seasoned wood in a Solo Stove.

This fire pit doesn’t include a glass flame surround, but you could have one made to fit if required.

I’ve thoroughly tested Solo Stove’s smokeless claim and yes, it works. It’s also effortless to clean up after enjoying a fire because you’re only left with a bit of white ash at the bottom. I’ve cooked over the Yukon as well and Solo Stove has seriously stepped up their cooking accessories, including a wood-fired pizza stove. Made of iron, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be used as a permanent or portable pit. To keep yours in good condition, you should rub it with oil after every other use.

Our Customers Love It!

Although we did choose two favorites, in our testing nearly all of the smokeless-pit designs worked more or less the same. They all have two walls (kind of like an insulated thermos bottle), and they leverage the difference in air temperature between those walls to create extra airflow through holes in the walls of the fire pit. That extra oxygen creates a secondary combustion of the fire’s off-gassing, molecules that usually create smoke if they aren’t burned. What distinguishes fire pits from one another is largely their looks, how easy they are to clean, and, to some extent, the available accessories.

Fire pits are an excellent buy and they’re incredibly effective at producing heat, as well as creating an attractive focal point. When we tested the Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 on a more inclement day – when there were mild Spring-time winds but nothing that would dry your sheets in record time – the firepit was more or less smokeless. But, on the days when we tested it when the wind appeared to be coming from three directions – as it often does here on the edge of Dartmoor – its smokeless powers failed somewhat. Ideally, you'd get to see some fire pits in store before buying, but if this isn’t possible, find out as much information about it as possible before investing.
