About this deal

LEMONS– Apply lemon juice to a garment to remove yellow underarm stains on white clothes. And remove rust stains on surfaces. WD-40 Specialist Degreaser makes short work of commercial kitchen clean-up. Spray on stovetops, hoods and oven doors and watch the grime dissolve. Products designed to get rid of mold spots work by targeting the spore (or root) of the mold. (Note: this does not mean the root cause, which is moisture.) After you apply the product, most formulas require you to wait a few minutes. During this period, the product is destroying mold spores at the roots with the help of a fungicide. At the same time, other active ingredients, like ammonium in some formula, works to clean and disinfect the treated surface. Many mold removers also work to prevent growth by leaving behind an antimicrobial coating. The "prevention" part of a formula is known as a mildewstat.

A few years ago, I shared a different version of de-greaser, but it required quite a few ingredients. Now that I've been making my own homemade cleaners for a few years, I've discovered a new way to clean grease with only a few household ingredients. This cleaner not only cleans grease, I use it for cleaning counter tops, our kitchen table, the inside of our refrigerator and our stovetop too! It cleans so well and leaves a nice, fresh citrus scent behind! I use this in conjunction with my Homemade Window and Glass Cleaner and my Homemade All-Purpose Cleaning Spray to get my whole house clean without toxic chemicals! CORN STARCH– Absorbs grease and oil stains. Immeadiately after an oil stain occurs, sprinkle the garment with corn starch and rub the area. Allow the starch to rest for 10 minutes, then wash the garment with laundry soap. Do NOT dry until the oil stain is fully removed. Goo Gone Kitchen Degreaser was our favorite product for cleaning burned-on food off of pans. With just one spritz of this easy-to-use spray (plus a Scotch-Brite sponge and a normal amount of elbow grease), we were able to clean the dirtiest pans in about 40 seconds. That’s not too much work for saving your favorite baking sheet! WHITE VINEGAR – Remove mildew stains with vinegar. And remove yellow underarm stains: spray a garment with vinegar, rest, then scrub and wash with laundry soap.

There’s nothing worse than finding an unsightly stain, especially one that’s been there for a while. Nine times out of ten, dried stains are harder to treat than fresh ones, and using the wrong kind of product on a stain can leave you no better off than when you started or even make the stain worse.

With Grease Remover, you can remove grease stains made from olive oil, frying oil, crisps, oil, etc… and also marks made from heels or floor polish. Keep in mind that this mold remover is explicitly designed to kill mold and mildew fungus that may be growing on the surface level. Despite the presence of ammonium, you will want to scrub the area and completely clean the affected room to be sure all mold spores are removed, per Rubino's guidance. Also, while we appreciate this formula's broad application potential, it is not a mold stain remover. If months or years of buildup have left lots of stains behind, you may need to use a separate product to remove the discoloration. Different stains require different solutions and, since accidents do happen, every household should be armed with a variety of stain removers to deal with any eventuality. That’s why we’ve put together this list of the best stain removers for everything from red wine stains and turmeric to dried-on baby food. The best stain removers: At a glance This is an EPA-registered removal spray, which means it's a chemical agent capable of inhibiting the growth of mildew. RMR-141 disinfectant has proven effective against more than 120 different microorganisms and will kill mold, mildew, bacteria, and more, according to the manufacturer. Its claim to fame is ammonium, an active ingredient that helps to clean the surface. Though, be aware: ammonium can be very strong odor-wise, and is extremely dangerous when mixed with bleach. This budget spray does an excellent job of keeping your doors streak-free after each shower. It’s suitable for use on plastic and glass screens, as well as vinyl shower curtains. Sainsbury’s says it can also be used on tiles, enamel trays and your shower head, although we find these daily cleaners most effective on the doors.
