About this deal

The appearing of the Lawless one will be attended by various miracles and tokens and delusive marvels--for so Satan works--

In Search of the Miraculous is Ouspensky's recollection of his first meeting and subsequent association with George Gurdjieff and the esoteric teaching that Gurdjieff imparted to him. This teaching still exists today in various forms; Ouspensky himself taught it to various groups from 1921–1947. Throughout the book, Ouspensky never refers to Gurdjieff directly, only using the single initial "G.", but it is common knowledge that this "G." was Gurdjieff, who taught Ouspensky an ancient esoteric system of self-development commonly known as the Fourth Way. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. Of Miracles" is the title of Section X of David Hume's An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding (1748).You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until this day. He said, "Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.

Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn't repent. There is no real basis for negative emotions and these drain us of the energy needed to become conscious. On the Sabbath He proceeded to teach in the synagogue; and many, as they heard Him, were astonished. "Where did he acquire all this?" they asked. "What is this wisdom that has been given to him? And what are these marvellous miracles which his hands perform? Saint John Vianney was one such saint. The Abbe Trochu wrote several biographies of the saint, based on the documents from John Vianney’s cause for canonization — and those biographies read like Grimms’ fairy tales. Much of this probably sounded plausible at the time. Subatomic particles, radiation (the craze to label every new thing a "this ray" and "that ray") and relativity were cutting edge science at the time and seemed to open up a previously unsuspected invisible realm. However, it is all pretty clearly incompatible with even a rudimentary understanding of the world from the 21st century standpoint (Gurdjieff denies evolution, astronomy, etc., substituting in their place some quite outlandish theories).Saint John Vianney isn’t a saint from ancient days, but from the modern era. He was alive at the same time our Founding Fathers were establishing the Constitution, dying shortly before our Civil War. He was working extraordinary signs and wonders during the lifetimes of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and the heroes of the Civil War. He proved that miracles do happen in during times of extraordinary scientific and technological progress. relaxed jazz/funk grooves, and `Return to the Stars' is a slowly revealing Tangerine Dream-like expansive distortion-laced Miracles” have also occurred in the recent past. Witness the fever which engulfed India – and Hindu communities across the planet – when statues of the deity Ganesha were thought to be drinking bowls of milk offered to them by the devoted. People are very prone to accept the unusual and incredible, which excite agreeable passions of surprise and wonder.
