About this deal

To come up to temperature, the hot tub will vary in time depending on the volume of water inside it. We never suggest filling it too much, otherwise, you'll end up heating water that will be spilled on the floor once warm. We recommend putting enough water in it so that it's just under the line.

Storing a moist hot tub is asking for mould. Make sure all the water is completely drained out and go over it with a dry cloth before folding away. Step 7. Deflate the Lay-Z-SpaDo you have more questions about how to winterise an inflatable spa or how to store it properly during the colder winter months? Below I will answer the questions that I get asked the most to help you further. Can I leave my lazy spa out in winter? This pioneering hot tub technology means that a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub can be safely used all year round and allows you to keep your hot tub out in winter even if you’re not using it frequently. Freeze Shield automatically detects when the temperature drops below 6°C and then switches on to heat your water up to 10°C. It means you don’t need to have a constant heat source in your water and is therefore the most energy-efficient way of keeping your Lay-Z-Spa out in winter. Duraplus™ Material Its suede look blends with the cover so that when being protected it still looks the part. EnergySense™ insulated outer and top cover provide 40% more energy efficiency than other inflatable hot tubs and its soothing 120 AirJet™ massage system and 40°C water offer the ultimate year‑round home spa experience. We don't leave our hot tub on all of the time, mostly because it uses quite a lot of electricity and in the current climate, this is not ideal. With this in mind, when we do turn it on we're sure to hit the buttons reset test reset on the lead. Wait til you hear a few beeps. You should then see the temperature of the hot tub displayed. For safety purposes, you need to press and hold the power button for three seconds to gain access to the pad. Connect a garden hose (with the adaptor supplied) to the drainage/inflation valve. Making sure the hose is long enough to reach a drain. ( Never drain the spa water into your lawn or flower beds because it contains chemicals that will kill them). Step 4. Remove All Fixtures and Fittings

The Zurich AirJet™ is our newest energy-efficient Lay-Z-Spa with a specially designed insulating outer cover that helps retain heat and saves on energy costs. It has a nice compact size which is ideal for small spaces and is the perfect hot tub for enjoying a spa experience all year round. The Power Saving Timer prevents any unnecessary use of power. Itallows you to set the time and duration of the heating cycle so that you can enjoy your hot tub at a time of your choosing without having to leave your Lay-Z-Spa heater on at all times. When it comes to hot tub maintenance, the Lay-Z-Spa Zurich is pretty much the same as maintaining any other hot tub out there. Some people like to leave their hot tub switched on and heating up year-round, but we haven't been doing that bearing in mind the rise in energy prices. At the touch of a button, you will be surround by thousands of tiny therapeutic bubbles thanks to the powerful 120 AirJet™ massage system.

A simple but very effective way to save money when filling up your hot tub is to use water from the hot tap. Just make sure you start with an inch or two of cold at the bottom first and ensure the water from the hot tap is no hotter than 40°C. It is far more energy-efficient to start your hot tub up with warm water rather than filling the hot tub with cold water and waiting for the pump's heater to do all the work. The time it takes for your lazy spa zurich to heat up depends on the temperature outside, how cold the water is, and the size of the tub. The higher the capacity of the water, the longer it takes to heat. You can expect the Zurich to take 12 to 24 hours to heat cold water to 40°C. If your inflatable hot tub has a lid or cover on, this will speed up the process. Disconnect the pump and place the stop cap on the pipe. Place the pump to one side ready for cleaning. ( It may not look dirty but there will be residue from the chemicals used in the water on it) Step 4. Drain the Water

Be in the know

Undoubtedly, this hot tub looks great in a garden. It's sleek and its pump is also nice and compact, too. If you lift up the digital display, you'll find two cup holders for your vino to sit as you soak. Heat rises and one of the biggest causes of heat loss in hot tubs is straight from the water's surface where it meets the outside air. Did you know: Lay-Z-Spa heaters are thermostatically regulated, so they will only switch on to top up the temperature of the water to whatever temperature that you set. This is better than letting the temperature rise and fall a great amount, which could result in more energy usage. Please be aware of the ambient air temperature, as at colder times of year more energy will be required to keep the water warm. 4. Run the hot tub at weekends instead of 24/7 Instead, we make sure to switch on our hot tub a day before we hope to use it and switch it on to heat and filter. Usually, over the summer, it has sat at a constant temperature of around 19˚C to 22˚C, so it only takes a minimal amount of time to get to a hot temperature. There are many easy ways you can reduce your hot tub running costs. From something as simple as choosing the right place to position your hot tub, to keeping on top of chemicals to cleaning your hot tub’s filters regularly, to getting a thermal cover, we’ve put together 10 simple ways to manage and improve your hot tub running costs.

If you don’t use your hot tub regularly, the Power Saving Timeris great for keeping your Lay-Z-Spa running costs to a minimum. The AirJet™ and HydroJet™ massage system understandably require energy to run and can contribute to some heat loss in the water. If you're really keen on reducing your hot tub running costs and keeping them as low as possible, consider cutting down the amount of time you have the massage system on and enjoy relaxing 40°C water instead. As well as the EnergySense™ cover, the Zurich includes an insulating inflatable lid to help prevent heat from escaping from the top and an energy-saving timer. The time lets you set when you want the hot tub to heat so you are not using energy unnecessarily. Winter use with Freeze Shield™

Additionally, if you don’t require your hot tub to be as full as possible then consider only filling it up to the minimum line. This will save on the initial water cost and, because it is a smaller body of water, will require less power to heat. Once drained, take out any fixtures and fittings still attached and place them to one side for cleaning. (clean with soapy water and then dry completely with a soft cloth). Step 5. Thoroughly Clean and Rinse When considering where you will place the Lay-Z-Spa Zurich in your garden, you'll need to think about a few factors. Our hot tub arrived with a mat that you put down underneath it, to protect your floor and to help ensure you won't slip when getting out all wet. The mat is slightly larger than the hot tub itself, but you can use it to visualise where it will go if you buy it too. It fits together like a jigsaw. It's worth us noting that this mat will help keep heat in the hot tub too. If you can't invest in one, then try and get something similar for your hot tub surround.
