Bad Instructions– There really aren’t instructions for this machine. It has the a chart for the length of each cycle and which grit to use, but doesn’t explain the process step by step. Some people choose 3 or 5 steps for their tumbling process, and some change the process depending on the stones. Because grit abrasive is usually only found in bulk, this small amount is a much appreciate sample.Made Just for Kids– This is the only kit made specifically for kids and is not really suited for adults as it skips steps and the overall appearance is made for kids. Lortone is a family-owned business based out of the Northwest. Like many smaller companies in the giant lapidary field, everything about them is face value and no-nonsense. Quiet– This is by far the quietest machine I have tested. I had it running inside for several weeks and was able to tolerate it. It basically sounds like if you left your dishwasher running 24/7. It is suitable for children as young as eight years old, which makes it a great science education tool for young children

Multiple Speeds– There are 5 speeds you can use, allowing for even more flexibility in the process. Polly plastics grit and polish are better than the grit provided and gives you a larger amount of grit - the tumbler has been running for about 2 weeks and is still working amazingly It has a similar design to the Lortone 3A – that we have found to be the most efficient design on the market. Therefore, I want to give you a few rules of thumb to choose an affordable option without sacrificing too much quality.Make sure everything is put away properly so that you don’t lose any pieces and can use them again next time. It’s also a good idea to wipe down the work surface and any other tools you used with a clean cloth to remove any dust or debris. Small Stones – Even though you get a good variety of stones, they’re all incredibly small so will be tiny by the end of the polishing process.
