About this deal

If possible (depending on your settings display positioning), create an interactive autumn display. Interactive displays are great for allowing children to explore, taking their learning in their own direction.

If you decide to display trees of UK heritage with this resource, you can discuss with your KS1 class the following types: Use this tree template to display ideas like student groupings (for example, students born on different months of the year, or students of different heights), or parts of a family tree, or examples of the Theory of Evolution in practice. Allow children to add named leaves to the class reading tree when they have read a certain number of books. Alternatively, it could be used to display the names of texts used as whole-class guided reading books or whole-class texts throughout the year. Draw (freehand, you can do this!) the tree and then cut it out. I’m sure some sort of Xacto knife (or similar) was used. This tree template has a neutral design and can be printed out in any of a range of different sizes, according to how big you would like it to be and how much space you have available. This versatility makes it perfect to use in a variety of ways. Hanging up students’ completed work is a common classroom display idea, but you don’t have to wait until the work is done. If you have ongoing projects such as a piece of writing, displaying each draft the student completes makes them aware of their progress. Set Goals If you’re eager for your class to learn more about trees, this Parts of a Tree Poster is a fantastic resource for teaching your KS1 classroom. It encourages children to learn relevant vocabulary with an eye-catching display that will brighten up any room. Why not challenge students to research their own family trees to extend the display even further? Easily Prepare This Resource for Your Students This fun All About Me Concertina Template is perfect to print and use for the first week of school. This activity will help you assess your students’ ability to write their own names and numbers 0-10. Choose from a range of school fonts and designs to suit the children in your class. We Fit Together!

Combine the completed leaves with the tree-trunk and branch cut-outs to create your classroom tree. Add the finishing touches with some beautiful gumnuts, bottlebrushes and blossoms. Having displays in the early years helps the learning environment become more visually stimulating and engaging for early years children. By making the most of displays, early years practitioners can help support young children’s learning about different topics, such as the autumn season.Kindness has been a subject of heavy focus in the primary school classroom in recent years as educators have started realising how much giving and receiving kindness helps students, teachers, and parents/carers alike.
