All in all, this is a well thought out functional tent, as you’d expect from a tent company with Vango’s pedigree. The whole tent, inner and outer is one piece and there are vey few poles. Next, you stand the tent up and peg it in place and sort the guy lines. Solution-dyed fabric is highly resistant to UV fade and drastically reduces energy consumption and water use during manufacturing, a process that is better for the environment and improves the quality of the tent fabric A nice touch also worth mentioning is the alpine green colouring, which adheres to the wild camping code when it comes to blending in with the surroundings. A key feature being rolled out across a number of Big Agnes tents is the use of solution dyed fabrics. This is a great move for a number of reasons, firstly the positive environmental impacts which see a significant reduction in both energy and water consumption during manufacture. Secondly, this process means the tents are much more resistant to colour fade from UV. On a practical level, the tent benefits from a slight change in the pole design which now provides steeper walls, more headroom and a wider door opening which all make this version feel much more spacious and more usable.

The Fly Creek has received a significant update with new environmentally friendly fabrics, larger internal space, wider opening for easier access along with a range of smaller tweaks and upgrades. A great tent made better! Ventilate your tent!: The most effective way to prevent condensation is to ventilate your tent and reduce the internal humidity of your tent by promoting a good airflow. Examine your tent for low and high venting options and open them to let the moist air flow out. If the weather conditions permit, leave the upper and lower sections of the door open, mesh sections can be kept fully zipped. If appropriate, also ensure vents at the rear of the tent are fully open. Make sure the vents are not obstructed by bags or sleeping bodies.
