About this deal

There are some states where you simply aren’t allowed to tint your front side windows. Even though these states are strict about front side window tint, some of them allow you to use the darkest window tint on the market when it comes to your rear side windows. Tinting Your Rear Side Windows If you have a large window, we recommend that installation is undertaken with two people, or consider utilizing The Window Film Company’s professional fitting service. Nationwide fitting service Still, some of these states require you to have dual side mirrors even if you’re only using 35% tint on your rear window. Interestingly enough, there are no states that don’t allow you to tint your rear window. No matter where you live, you can put some level of tint on your rear windshield and still drive legally. Dark Tint vs. Light Tint

Regardless of the film, you choose, installing it onto your windows at home is a straightforward process. You will need a plant spray bottle and some washing up liquid, while if your film is supplied by the metre, you will also need a knife (a decent craft knife will be fine) to trim the window tint to your exact size. So, if your tint film lets 50% of the light through, and your car came with the windows tinted to allow 80% of the light in, you need to calculate the total light which is allowed through. To do this, you should multiply the window tint percentages. Here’s how it looks: (0.50 × 0.80) ×100 = 40% When laying your tint, ensure it covers the whole window, and leave around 3 inches over the edges. Cut the piece from the roll, with a couple of extra inches in every direction. For the most part, you’ll have to keep your front side window tint pretty light. Many states have a limit of 35%, with some states going as low as 20% and others going as high as 70%. Now, with your piece of tint stable on the outside of your window, spray the tint itself with water. You should spray the exposed side, which is currently the peel-off layer. 2.2. Measure and cutInstalling window tint all by yourself is not an easy task, and you will need a bit of patience and persistence to get it right. If you’re not confident in your DIY skills, you may want to consider getting the professional installation done to save yourself some trouble. However, even though it seems very complicated in the beginning, installing window tint is not as difficult once you get started. Please be advised that this item may only be collected in store by someone over the age of 18. Self application - No fitting service available. Ultraviolet radiation is a part of the spectrum of radiation that the sun emits non-stop. This low-frequency radiation is powerful ionizing radiation, which means that it has the capability to damage the DNA cells – our genes. UV rays can’t pierce very deeply, so they mainly cause issues in people’s skin. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause premature skin aging, but also incurable diseases like skin cancer. On the other hand, UV rays also affect polymers, so all kinds of plastics are susceptible to damage. If left unprotected, the color of your dashboard and faux leather upholstery fades, and over time the materials become brittle and fragile. The Law - "Under regulations first issued 20 years ago and clarified three years ago, the windscreen must allow in at least 75 per cent of light while at least 70 per cent must pass through the driver's side windows" It's possible to do it yourself to save the cost of labor, but there are some issues to consider before you decide to apply a car window tint yourself versus allowing a professional to handle it. The most obvious positive to taking the DIY route is that it's cheaper. If you're handy, patient, and have a clean area in which to work (such as a garage with little to no dust), applying window tint isn't especially hard. Then again, an experienced professional can generally do a better job while saving you time. The work often comes with a guarantee or warranty, and they can make sure the tint is legal, helping you avoid a citation.

On the other hand, you want to protect yourself and your passengers as well. UV rays can cause a plethora of health issues, the worst of which is skin cancer. If you don’t use sunscreen whenever you go out, you should at least have your car windows tinted to reduce exposure. 3. Glare Control Peel off the protective layer, but don’t completely remove it. Peel around a half off, with the other half in place. Spray the exposed adhesive with a bit of clean water – don’t use soapy water for this step. As is the case with the windshield, tinting your rear window isn’t the simplest process. Your rear window allows you to see what’s going on behind you when you’re on the road. If you tint your rear window too dark, you’ll end up having to rely on your side mirrors. This is why most states don’t allow you to tint your rear window very dark. Every state in the United States has laws when it comes to tinting your windows. These laws tell you what type of tint you’re legally allowed to use, but it’s not as simple as buying a window film kit with the right VLT.

If you don’t have these at hand, you can get one of the many toolsets which include everything you need for tint installation. 2. Measuring and Cutting Every Police car should be included. If you find some vehicle which i forgot about, please text me. Even if i do not really think this mod will ever need an update. (I will update it, if required!) If you have an old tint that needs removing, you can do it with a fabric steamer. Use steam to soften the adhesive, peel the tint off, and wash your windows. TSER – Total Solar Energy Rejection: The percentage of total solar energy rejected by filmed glass. The higher this value, the less solar heat is transmitted.
