About this deal

Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size. Place the garment in a plastic bag and put it in your freezer - the temperature will cause the fibres to become less attached to each other, and excess fibres will come off easier.

ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until there are 6-7-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn the piece. This is a great way to get involve the children in the festival experience. Get them to choose one, or even better, make your own! All you need is an old sheet and some fabric paint. They are also fantastic if you are arranging to meet up with friends at the festival. Just tell them the rough location of your tent and which flag to look out for! When the piece measures 5-7-9 cm = 2”-2 3/4”-3 1/2”, work 2 rows with sea mist, 2 rows with yellow/pink, 2 rows with sea mist and 2 rows with yellow/pink. Continue with sea mist. If you wish to attach the pole to the ground, you will need a ground stake . These swivel so the pole can be free-moving; which helps prevent tangling. If your pole is 6m or higher we recommend getting a stronger ground stake designed to support higher poles. The knitting tension also determines which yarns can replace each other. As long as you achieve the same knitting tension you can replace one yarn with another. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 6-7-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn the piece. As well as choosing your decoration, you need to get it in the air! For this you need a flag pole, a ground stake and some bungees or cord. Pole

All yarns will have excess fibres (from production) that might come off as lint or shedding. Brushed yarns (ie hairier yarns) have more of these loose, excess fibres, causing more shedding. Continue to decrease like this, working until there is 1 stitch less each time before slipping a stitch and until there are 14-14-16 stitches left on the needle.Wellington boots are a very necessary part of living in the UK at some point during the year. If you wear regular shoes at a festival, you can become quite miserable when it rains. It’s bad for the environment because your shoes leak and end up getting binned before their time, and it’s bad for your feet (who wants trench foot in this day and age?). Shedding also depends on what is worn under or over the garment, and whether this pulls at the yarn fibres. It’s therefore not possible to guarantee that there will be no shedding
