To remove the lower half you undo the 7mm AF bolt at the top and the torx screw at the bottom, you can just let this half hang down, without fully removing it. Answer/Reject calls though your original car radio/navigation system via the FF (Fast forward) button. Now, if it asks you for a four digit pin code, every time I have done this (loads of times!), the pin code has been 0000. It is unlikely that you will be able to use the later spec. BT/VC module (8M5T-19C112-AM) as the firmware in your stereo will be to old and it’s very unlikely that Ford have released the firmware to dealers to upgrade stereo’s â€" and I doubt the technician’s ability to do it correctly anyway. Basically the parrot unit sits between the original head unit wiring and the head unit itself. It then uses the power supplied to the head unit to power itself and then when you use it, it cuts the sound from the head unit and sends the sound out through the car speakers. Having read the documentation that came with the car (which spans several variations of car and stereo model), I believe there may be the functionality to stream music from my iPhone to the stereo, however I just cannot figure out how to do it...There are two buttons on there stereo, both have a folder on them, and one has an arrow pointing into the folder, the other out of it. I've pressed these while the phone has been paired and it doesn't seem to do anything. Issuing voice commands doesn't seem to do anything either...

When you press the phone button it will now say no phone connected rather than mute. I did this on a Kuga Sony head unit and tested it with my ST Sony head unit as well as the standard CD6000 and all worked fine. Before I go out and buy the things that is needed for the retrofix, I would like to get confirmed that it is possible. Then you need to make sure that you have space left on your stereo to accept your phone. Simply, this means that your stereo probably has, for example, six spaces/phones it can store at once on its memory. If people have used your stereo before you, it stands a chance that the memory is full. Therefore, you need to "debond" the existing phones from the stereos memory. Phone connectivity was optional on the Focus MK2/MK2.5. This requires the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system. This is a separate system that communicates with the radio over the CANbus network. Whether the car does or does not have the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system can easily be determined by the radio stalk. Cars with Bluetooth/Voicecontrol do have a VOICE button on top of the radio stalk. On cars without Bluetooth/Voicecontrol the phone buttons on the radio act as mute buttons. If a Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module is connected the phone functions and menu of the radio will be active. Now reconnect everything, be careful with the wires for the speakers / mute cable they can become loose at this point. Connect the hands free kit wires to the hands free kit. Test Get your phone, go to bluetooth menu, scan for "new devices", this should hopefully now find something like "Ford Audio".
