About this deal

All right, with the introduction out of the way, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of Corsair’s former and current best-selling coolers! A software driver that takes 2.3+ GB to install just to tell you fan speeds and temps, that runs 64+ processes and runs at 6% + CPU usage all of the time is not "impressive" in any universe. And certainly not when that software is riddled with bugs, some as old as 3+ years - Fundamental stuff that should have been fixed by now.

CL create a few random problems in the system like 2nd HDD not recognized unless restarting pc till is ok, some usb devices not recognized unless restarting till is ok. The issue so far is that about every 10 seconds the USB plug and play sound triggers. During the "removed phase" The LED no longer light up, and the fans connected to the cooler stops. During the "plugged in" phase, LED lights up, fans spins.

Specialized Cooling Modes

I do that because on ICUE appears a section where it sais that when 45ºC are reached the leds lights of the H100iv2 turn red. In my case, would it be normal exceed 45ºC on the cooler temp without being harmful? If that is it, I would adjust the curve to make it less agressive, so when I play those games it could reach more than 45ºC without the fans being that noisy. The Corsair Hydro Series is a good product.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”Is the Corsair H100i v2 RGB?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:” In real fact...CL2 is full of bugs...leds..pump...usb issues...fans noise...high temps....sierra has to be restarted if you put your pc in standby.....conflicts with other drivers....and so on. They keep saying a lot of words but at the end of the story CL it is a big mess and the product its self does not match what they advertised. The H100i v2 is a great CPU cooler for users who want to keep their components cool and stable. It’s a little more expensive than other options, but the performance it provides makes it worth it. And now, if im running my pc without ICUE, and I restart the system, the H100i v2 fans do the same, 2700 rpm before BIOS screen.

We bought that Cooler.....we have lot of problems and you just keep talking about none here in forum instead of solve problems that im sure most of customers have. They need to re-write CL s/w..it's totally unreliable and and seems to be designed by someone with basic or very little windows internal knowledge. They need to replace the controller h/w & s/w on the pump unit. Clearly the way it is designed today does not allow it to manage the fans properly or are the LED's reliable or provide a dedicated USB device interface (not a cluedgy HID). Note: the screenshots below come from Windows 10, and the fixes also work in Windows 8 and Windows 7.There is no specific fail point for the cooler. It's certainly not 40-45C. The rubber is rated for more than 100C+ and obviously we won't be melting plastic or metal. The only real vulnerable part might be the sealant/glue exposed to long term high coolant levels (55-70C+). However, all of this is mostly a moot point. On any recent processor, you are probably going to reach your CPU temp limits with a coolant temp of 50C -- or at least get uncomfortably close. This is another way to do it ... setting the header to PWM mode does supply the constant 12V of power. The PWM signal is ignored.
