However, it is a really good height for younger children from 2-4 years, the angle of their arms is more in front of them and great for balance while learning.  As they grow the bar eventually be at the right height, more down from their chest. I liked this scooter better than the others because it has a wide standing area and the way it tilts as the child leans or turns is very smooth. The balance area is flexible for bouncy kids. My 3 year old has dropped it, it is very durable.
