About this deal

The other day I spotted Pampers Baby-Dry nappies in size 4 in Wilkinsons and they were reduced to half price making them pretty much the same price per nappy as Mamia. I thought this was a good time to see what the Pampers nappies were like in a bigger size. In this post I will compare these two nappy brands in this size and let you know which one delivers…

They are easy to pull up and my child can do it themselves. The nappy is easy to remove with the tear away sides. No leaks, snug fit, enough frills to avoid “poonami overflow” and perfect for my baby’s sensitive skin.’

I haven’t actually used Aldi Mamia nappy pants before. My go to for my toddler is pampers or huggies pull ups at nighttime. The main reason parents decide against disposables and opt for reusable nappies is the environmental impact. Around eight million nappies are thrown into landfill waste each day in the UK, and may take hundreds of years to decompose. On average, switching from disposable to reusable cuts carbon emissions from nappy use by a quarter. Here they are, side my side. Aldi’s Mamia to the left and Pampers to the right. They look quite similar here, size-wise at least.

Here are 5 easy switches to start saving you money today …

Although convenient and absorbent, disposables have their downsides. Most of them contain bleaching agents, dyes, latex, and other plastics. All nappies are tested before they go on sale, so although the materials are not harmful, if your baby has sensitive skin or allergies, there is a small chance of a reaction to the chemicals they contain. In many cases, swapping to a different brand will help avoid this issue. Lidl also sells a premium range which the discount supermarket claims offers advanced comfort, fit and flexibility. These nappies come in sizes one to five. What brands of nappy pants do you currently use most often? If you use Mamia, what other brands do you use?

The huggies car patterned ones as my little one likes to feel older than his brother who is in baby nappies Both brands promise up to 12 hours of dryness meaning your baby’s bum and nappy should be nice and dry after a full night. We usually use Aldi’s Mamia and have never ever had a wee leak with them. We use them overnight for 12 hours and have never had a problem. Mamia nappies live up to their promise and really do offer 12 hours of dryness. The nappy feels dry and my daughter’s bum is dry and rash free after 12 hours in a Mamia nappy.Bethany: I would buy these over and over nappies on the product as the price is great but also I have had no issues with the nappy either. I think the price is what makes it stand out the most but also the awards they have won. To be honest I was quite wary of buying them as they are so cheap but since trying them there is not any other brand I would trust. My baby also seems to not have an issue with them either and have not experienced any nappy rashes whilst using these. My little one found these really easy to pull up and down. With some he struggles as the leg cuffs are too tight but Mamia were perfect.
