We placed feline urine on each cat litter and stood at set distances from it to see if we could detect any unpleasant smells. Universal: binds odours, is particularly absorbent and helps to keep moisture trapped. This litter is ideal for anyone – cats, ferrets, hamsters and many more! It can even be used for birds and is ideal for use in wet areas. The choice between clumping cat litter and non-clumping is mostly down to how often you want to replace the soiled litter in the tray, or clean out the whole thing.

We saturated a set amount of cat litter with water, and then drained it through a sieve and re-weighed the water to see how much had been absorbed by the cat litter.
