About this deal

It’s strange how the advice to drink eight glasses of water a day seems impossible to achieve – but six glasses of gin at a tasting? That goes down like a chubby kid on a see-saw.” Take a trip to Glenshee The results are highly regarded as they are independently audited by a panel of experts and judged live in a rigorously assessed blind tasting event.

It is infused with five Celtic botanicals (including Coul Blush Apple and Bog Myrtle), six traditional botanicals and Scottish spring water. After tasting some of Tennent's products, including exclusive brews, visitors will take a short trip to the distillery where a tour and guided tasting of Makar Gin and single malt awaits. One of my go-to gins is Shortcross Gin from Northern Ireland’s Rademon Estate Distillery, a classic London Dry gin with lovely buttery and floral notes. The new visitor attraction will give gin fans the chance learn the story of Red Door Gin, which was launched in 2018, from the history of the distillery to the secrets of how the distillers create each handcrafted batch of Highland gin.Tours are held in collaboration with Tennent's, so it's worth making a day of it to find out more about one of the best-loved names and the newest in the drink scene in Glasgow. Discover wonderful wildlife tours to book and experience in Scotland, including bird watching safaris, whale watching, farm tours and much more! This three hour experience includes a complimentary tutored tasting, instruction and talk from Crossbill’s founder, a personalised 50cl bottle of your own recipe gin and a discount at the distillery shop. Named after the indigenous bird that can only be found in the ancient forests of Scotland, Crossbill gin is one of the only gin distilleries to use 100 per cent Scottish juniper and rosehip, with the distillers claiming to have revived Scotland’s juniper production.

There is a wide range of diverse distilleries and breweries in the Cairngorms National Park so it depends which is your favourite to drink. It’s not just whisky, either; there’s been a huge growth in Scottish gins recently and you’ll find distilleries like Balmenach (the home of Caorunn gin) and Persie also do gin tours and tastings now too. Aviemore also has its own brewery, Cairngorm Brewery which produces traditional beers such as Wild Cat and Stag. To find out more and see the distillation process, visitors can visit the still house for a 75 minute tour and tasting of the gin, sherry and signature gimlet. If you’re choosing the Three Gin Kit and you’d like a mix of Distillery Originals and Dog Gins, that’s no problem. Just choose ‘My Preferred Mix’ and note the gins you’d like in the box below. And whichever kit you decide on, if there’s a mixer you particularly like or don’t like, just let us know. The tour price includes a gin and tonic, which can be enjoyed by the fireside and tutored tasting of the spirits.
