About this deal

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. is a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc. based in the USA. It cannot be ruled out that your data collected by Facebook will also be transmitted to the USA. But today, if you get two of the same microphone, you will notice that there are hardly any differences in the way they sound. Most manufacturers don’t even sell matched pairs anymore for this reason. These are microphones for indoor use. And if you have a home or a small studio, then they are going to do a decent job. Overheads on drums, especially cymbals, are going to record well, as well as capturing a good room sound, as long as what they are capturing is loud enough to not cause issues due to the high self-noise factor. It can be a good thing if you want to add a bit of natural depth to a vocal to give it some warmth. If you don’t need the extra bass, just move the mic away from the subject a small distance. You might have to try different positions until you get the sound you want. Some Numbers For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

The extra weight of the C-2 gives it that sturdy and durable feeling, I really like heavy microphones, but having said that, they are both excellent. Although they do come at a cheap price, this doesn’t mean that they are aimed at beginners. The fact that the C-2 comes in pairs emphasizes this: It enables the user to record in stereo, which isn’t something beginners get into as soon as they start in music recording. As for the price, it’s very affordable, especially considering the fact you get two quality condenser microphones. Of course, keep in mind that the observations I just made would be just as applicable to other pencil condenser microphones. I’m just reporting on the experience I’ve had the the C02s. Piano recording: Samson CO2 Next on the list, we have small diaphragm condenser microphones which aren’t really labeled as “matched- or stereo- pairs” that will work perfectly if two are used simultaneously. However, in this list, you will find some which are more affordable and come with different capsules, which makes them a lot more versatile. It all comes down to your needs. Pair of microphones super-capacitors cardioid (side rejection of -10 dB to -6 dB miei for a cardioid microphone). Normal sensitivity (10 mV / Pa), a little noise High (22 dBA) compared to the standard but low enough that it can be understood that on low level sources in a soundproof recording studio, c ' is the same noise level as that of the best electret microphones very small capsules with CCA (4060, 4090) and Earthworks (QTC series). Nice finish. The cap is removable, but to my knowledge, Samson proposes no new capsule for now. Plastic box with foam containing the microphones mounted in their suspensions, the latter also being beautiful bills. -Given the price (I bought new € 119), I put 10/10. The main difference comes down to the cost, since both microphones sound fairly similar and I don’t think that one could be considered as better than the other one. It has a -20dB PAD which will allow you to use it in high SPL situations withstanding up to 155dB SPL.

The MXL V67N has interchangeable capsules which are Cardioid and Omnidirectional, but you don’t need to buy them extra since they come with the microphone. It has a low-mass capsule with its 12mm diaphragm and has the popular Cardioid polar pattern. In a studio environment, this can be a necessary design feature for any mic. Why do we say necessary? I think this microphone is good in terms of what you get for the money. They sound great and don’t color the sound at all. The Samson C02 is a great option if you don’t want to spend too much or if you don’t have any experience with pencil microphones and just want to try them out.

For drum overheads or for any other loud sound sources, I’d take the C-2 since they have a higher SPL.

The Rode M5 pair excels in the mid and high frequencies in my opinion, since it doesn’t sound shrill or add any harshness or crispiness to the sound while still sounding open and airy, which is why it works great with guitars, percussion (especially overheads), strings, woodwinds, brass, pianos, and other similar instruments, as well as choirs. Given some of its specific attributes, especially a good SPL level, the Samson CO2 gives a decent performance in the studio. It can work with a wide variety of instruments and vocals at a decent level. Therefore for those that are on a tight budget, it is an ideal option. In fact, considering the quality, it’s one of the most affordable condenser microphones on the market. Alright, so there isn’t as much to say about microphones as other pieces of equipment, but I also wanted to create some contrast in regards to the Samson C02 pair. Each mic is six inches long and about ¾-inch wide. There is a foam windscreen included. This might reduce wind noise if you are using them outside. In terms of reducing plosives from vocals, it doesn’t. You will still need a pop filter. But that applies to any mic in use in a studio environment. Mounting The MXL 606 is an inexpensive microphone that can actually pull its weight, having a PAD and HPF makes it really versatile.

I would have thought that polar patterns and frequency response are more important. Wouldn’t they have greater control over bleed rather than the dynamic or condenser scenario? The Condenser advantage I especially love using them in stereo with the 1073's for acoustic guitar. It's the most natural sound I've ever gotten from an acoustic guitar, and I'm not doing any processing.
