Listening to AIO‌ 3 was a pleasant surprise. I haven’t heard too many standalone Wi-Fi speakers that impressed me. Usually, they sound washed out, and the bass is kinda tubby. But not this speaker. The sound was mid centric just like I‌ like it, and the bass while not super articulate, was deep and pronounced enough to fill out the rhythm. With more modern material the AIO Twin was clearly also very much at home as I was immersed in a screening of Mr Bean Rides Againwhere the full force of the sound effects was not lost on the little boxes.Four small buttons sit in the bottom left corner of the device, they let you turn the speaker on, switch between sources and adjust the volume. As is common with wireless speakers, the volume for Bluetooth is much lower than the comparative level for Wi-Fi, requiring several nudges upwards.
