About this deal

Eh, this turned into more of a synopsis than a review. My bad. *abashed* If you do come across both versions there are some significant (at least I thought so) changes, with one pretty important (again, at least I thought so) scene happening differently. Both are good, though there we some cool parts in the manhwa that were not in the novel. I suppose they could always come later, as the timeline of events was a bit wonky between the two. *shrug* This book is worth reading if you enjoy transmigrated female leads into the 'nobles and knights' sort of setting and would love to see a female lead who can come across as greedy, crazy, and as a bit of a prankster. Her internal narration is a delight - typically dry humor, where absurdity and introspection combine. There is also a significant focus on her family - the good and the bad - and her making bonds with them. It's always heartwarming to see true family building in these sorts of novels, and not just the romance.

She had hoped to get married to Charlemagne during that time. But still, killing off Scarlett based on just a few words from Cheryl and none from her is too… This novel is the combination of a dark story and a transmigrated prankster with romance. If you like characters who have at least half a brain and like to make fun, then I highly recommend this book. There should be more than enough opportunities to get him to be fed up with me. But to get to those opportunities, I had to go through this essential event first. I became the fiancé of the tyrant male lead, a character who becomes a villainess because she was obsessed with the beautiful tyrant.Breaking off the engagement. Cutting off ties to the family name. Saving up some money. Nothing seemed easy, but I do have memories of the original novel. Visual recordings of this world that were now made real. If I saw something mentioned in the original novel, however briefly, I could recall a scene relating to it. She came from such a ruined family, that it was even embarrassing to call them nobles. And she was also dirt poor.

looool, guess who somehow missed the 'volume 1' on the title and was hella confused at the non-ending of this book However, right in the aforementioned memory, the thing he was looking at happened to be the set of heads hanging on the palace wall, so... What? So, to cut a long story short, didn't that mean they didn't take their personalities into account?! Anyway, although it seemed that whoever had sent me here had the scrap of conscience to leave Scarlett's past memories to me... I couldn't exactly rely on them in the present time. There used to be at least five birthday balls for the royalty, but the emperor cut the number down to just one. Which was why it had become much fancier than before. This year’s ball to celebrate his twenty-fourth birthday was described in the original story to be even grander than the previous year.

But of course, not too much to the point that he'd kill you, since he's the tyrant after all. The Korean fantasy book I had been reading was titled The Tyrant’s Private Life. In the novel, a girl who lost her beloved to the tyrant ends up falling in love with him. The story’s start may not have been the merriest—unlike what its light-hearted title would suggest—but it had a happy ending. After diligently performing a dozen or so actions that would cause me to be dumped by him, I succeeded in becoming a sound friend of the tyrant, who turned out better than I had thought. Since the tyrant was head over heels for her, he gave the country to her, turning into a very peaceful character compared to his reputation from before.

I really liked this one, but towards the last 10%, the translation got sloppy and rushed, like they were running out of time before the deadline hit. Still, I did enjoy it and will most definitely get and read the next one. Hopefully the translation is more consistent throughout it.I would have loved to see world-building started earlier. Some character development, but didn't land a hit in a way it may have. The moment I faced anything that had made an appearance in the novel, no matter how brief it had been, the scenes related to them would come to my mind. Besides, in the original novel, the Arman household fell apart after Scarlett died. The duke, the servants—basically, the tyrant killed everyone. All in all, a terrible household. Despite everything though, honestly, it was hard to understand how such a person was, if nothing else, a sage.
