Like I said, I like them both. I like plum and cherries mixed together, so I really like this updated version of Midnight Fantasy. I think Midnight Fantasy could be a little too much in warm weather, so this fresher re-imagining is a great find. Festive Fantasy is a Midnight Fantasy flanker to me; like with Midnight fantasy, this is all about the dark fruity notes and largely ignores the floral notes, except for a bit of breezy jasmine & orchid and a subtle vanilla-infused woody & clean musk base.
Divine. Just Devine. The right amount of sweetness. The right amount of fruitiness. The right choice and balance of florals. Nor does it smell like Donna Born in Roma at all. I have Donna Born in Roma and there are absolutely no similarities between Electric Fantasy and Donna Born in Roma. SO ... sadly Britney will know about the fragrances but she doesn't advertise them as she refuses to work (new photoshoots etc)HOWEVER, I Just got this in the mail. And i LOVE IT!!! You can DEFINITELY tell that Electric Fantasy is a part of the Fantasy Fragrance line because of it being SUPER sweet and syrupy. But this is NOTHING like any of Britneys other perfumes. This is the first time Pink Pepper is used and it STANDS OUT!!! That is the main note you smell throughout the entire fragrance. It's amazing. An intoxicating elixir, this eau de parfum of luscious fruits invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intrigue.
This, however, is so delectable! I can detect the Fantasy DNA is there. But in this one I get more of a juicy watery sweet fruit, like cotton candy grapes! That’s what this reminds me of! Those sweet cotton candy grapes instead of the cupcake that you get from Fantasy. During the opening I regretted my choice. Where was the sweet litchi? Why did I smell so much iso-E? It smelled like Fahrenheit, that's not what I wanted! But slowly waves of Fantasy were coming my way. My friend came closer, and closer, and now, after a couple of hours I feel HUGGED by a beautiful soft vanilla sugar warmth with Fantasy sparkle. How can a perfume be so inexpensive, but so good? The drydown is on par with perfumes that literally cost 10x as much. This is my favorite of the new Britney releases because its rather fresh, and, therefore, more practical to wear on a daily basis. Its sweet but lightweight, and the citruses shine through in it.
The perfume itself upon first spray is very 'woody, spicy and musky' which floats beautifully and then the fantasy DNA with the white chocolate develops underneath it. After 10 minutes in, the woody top notes are much more prominent and ever-so wonderfully blended in with 'cupcake' note. I haven't worn it long enough to judge the longevity of it yet.
