About this deal

This week in our STEAM Storytime series we were inspired by the book, The Bubble Factory written by Tomi DePaola You do not need to be an artist, scientist or mathematician to make learning fun and engaging for your students. How does the concentration of glycerin or corn syrup in the bubble solution change how long the bubbles last? You can try this activity again but using different concentrations of glycerin or corn syrup in the solutions. How little is too little, and how much is too much to add? Can you make a bubble solution that results in bubbles that last longer than the ones in the original activity? Step 5. Now what happens when you blow a bubble in a bubble? Will it work? This is why it’s important to have your straw cover enough bubble solution to create a second bubble inside. Try it out and see by dipping your straw in more solution, slowly inserting into your first bubble and then blowing.

Make Better Bubbles | Science Project

Making your own bubble solution is fun, but sometimes the bubbles don't seem to work as well as the solutions you buy in the store. In this experiment you can test if adding corn syrup or glycerin to your bubble solution will make it just as good as the stuff you can buy. This experiment will have you blowing bubbles! You may have seen our latest science experiment making Elephant Toothpaste with my 7 year old son who’s obsessed with science lately. He’s started a series of cool and classic science experiments kids can do right at home. We’re focusing on easy set up, clean-up, and simple materials with steps kids can do themselves, although parent supervision is always recommended with any science experiment!

Safe design protects the operator and lab environment from exposure to chemical vapours and airborne particulates. Each lab group will also need a piece of sewing thread tied into a circle. I would say that the circle needs to be about 1-2 inches in diameter. My passion is to show how you can inspire and encourage your students’ creativity through hands-on learning and problem-solving.

If the learning doesn’t convince you to try this with the kids, remember this involves bubbles. Making bubbles! What kid doesn’t like bubbles? The Safety Bubble is a portable bench mounted re-circulatory fume hood that can be used to provide many different types of safety or controlled environment. It protects the operator and laboratory environment from exposure to chemical vapours and airborne particulates. Everything in the environment, whether naturally occurring or of human design, is composed of chemicals. Chemists search for and use new knowledge about chemicals to develop new processes or products.Use the materials to create your own bubble lab. Safety goggles are optional but they do make it fun! Chemical engineers solve the problems that affect our everyday lives by applying the principles of chemistry. If you enjoy working in a chemistry laboratory and are interested in developing useful products for people, then a career as a chemical engineer might be in your future. Get busy blowing bubbles with Galt Bubble Lab! This set includes seven unique experiments involving bubble fun, perfect for combining learning and fun! Phillips, T., 2003. Saturday Morning Science: Elastic Water on the ISS, Science@NASA, Marshal Space Flight Center, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Retrieved June 6, 2007. For this lab, I used Orbeez beads to simulate the process of osmosis. Students used their data to answer real-world problems about human read blood cells and other health- related situations.
