I realize the Crucial P3 is a NVME 1.3 drive and not of the newer Gen 4 or Gen 5 generations which this HP PC does not support. I was going for an inexpensive storage upgrade and the P3 definitely delivered....with a screw! Where most NVMe drives don’t get into their stride until transfer sizes of 256K, 512K or even 1MB in the case of the P2, this drive is at full speed at just 64K. Making it a good choice for those with lots of smaller files. Its predecessor, the P2, used Micron 3D NAND modules and a Phison controller. The P3 uses Micron’s 176-layer NAND5, but the makers are not saying what controller is used in this or its P3 Plus brother.

Ich besitze bereits einige SSDs von Crucial und ich bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden. Diese nutze ich schon seit Jahren eigentlich hauptsächlich für das Betriebssystem (Windows 11 Pro) und natürlich für Programme. Für Speicherintensive Spiele habe ich eine 1TB Große HDD. Lange habe ich mir überlegt, meine mittlerweile langsame HDD gegen eine SSD zu ersetzen dennoch war ich unschlüssig ob es eine SATA oder doch M.2 sein soll. Die Crucial P3 Plus 2TB ist extrem schnell gegenüber der 3te Gen. sie bieten sage und schreibe satte 450MB/s beim Lesen. PCIe 4.0 Schnittstelle bietet sicherlich mehr Leistung, dennoch betreibe ich sie in einem externem Gehäuse, daher reicht es mir völlig aus. Den Unterschied gegenüber der HDD oder auch eine SATA SSD merkt man um Welten. Jedenfalls kann ich diese SSD empfehlen, wenn ihr zum ersten mal so eine Verbauen wollt, dann achtet mal darauf, dass euer Board den PCIe Standard 4.0 hat unter 3.0 wird die Leistung entsprechend reduziert.
