About this deal

Overall, very fun game that we play quite a bit. I wish they’d change the design of the alien pieces to all be the same to remove the advantage that red has. But even with that small annoyance I’d definitely recommend the game. The partially charged drone will charge from the base unit, but when the drone’s internal battery is completely drained (so it will no longer take off) it will may charge from the base unit and needs to be connected via the USB cable until the red light on the drone changes to green. Of the 321 products, we discovered that 75 were more expensive and 163 were cheaper than Drone Home Game. Prices from Interplay Games I think this game is perfect for Family Game Night! It’s fast paced! The play feels a lot like playing Hungry Hungry Hippos to me, actually. There is really no advantage to being either older or younger; it’s a pretty even playing field. If you go too fast or hit to hard, the alien won’t make it onto the ship. If you hit too softly, the alien stops short of its goal.

For ages 8 years+. Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts that may represent a choking hazard. When buying partner items like this one, your contract of sale will be with our Range Plus Partner instead of us. The drone USB charging cable should only be connected to a transformer or power supply compliant with EN IEC 61558-2-7. Before receiving Drone Home from PlayMonster I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about the components. I can’t say that I expected much from a drone that was included in a game meant for children. You can’t control the drone in any way as it doesn’t include a remote, but I was otherwise impressed with it. The drone generally rises at least a couple feet in the air each time and it actually hovers better than I was expecting. Due to this I would recommend playing the game away from things that are easily breakable as the drone could fly into them before you catch it. The thing that I was most skeptical about was how long the drone would last before it broke. The drone can sometimes crash pretty hard into the table or floor. Once the drone completely wiped out where I was positive that it probably broke, but it survived without any significant damage. I am a little worried that it will break after enough crashes though. For this reason I would probably recommend trying to catch the drone from the bottom after it starts to descend. This is actually really easy to do and should reduce the amount of damage that the drone sustains. The other components are solid as well. Should You Buy Drone Home? Fast-paced family board games are my absolute favorite, especially when they are designed so that age is not an advantage.Next up is material. Read through the product description for Drone Home Game to get an understanding of the materials the product is made from. Some materials will obviously be known for delivering better quality item than others. You might also have decided that you’ll only accept a product made from a particular material. The goal in this game is to get your aliens onto the (drone) space ship so they can fly home. The nerd in my loves the E.T. reference. Store the Drone at room temperature in cool or shaded areas. Do not store in extreme temperatures. Avoid storing in direct sunlight, hot cars or very cold temperatures.

The first is brand. Looking at the brand of the product is often a really good indicator for judging product quality. For example you’d expect a much higher quality product from a brand known for providing excellent quality than you would from an unknown or even a budget brand. Enjoy this fast-paced kids’ action game where there is a race to save your aliens and get them to safety. Oh, and one final piece of advice from personal experience: Maybe keep your pets in another room if they scare easily and/or if they will want to chase the falling drone! There's not much to it but its exciting for an hour or two an If you're wondering you can adjust the flight height of the drone so it won't fly off into the ceiling fan or anything... My recommendation for Drone Home comes down to how interesting you think the game sounds. If the game doesn’t sound all that interesting to you it probably won’t be for you. If you have kids that like these type of games I think they will really enjoy Drone Home. Even if you don’t have kids I think you could enjoy Drone Home if you like these type of games.

Before you play the game you need to use the USB cord and a wall charger to power the drone’s battery for around ten minutes. Drone Home is a game mostly meant for children and families. The rules are really easy to understand as you just try to shoot your aliens and get them to stay on the drone. The game can be taught within a minute and outside of very young children I don’t see children having any issues understanding how to play the game. Based on difficulty I see no reason why a kid under eight (the recommended age) couldn’t play the game. I think the main reason for the age recommendation comes from the drone and the components themselves. The aliens are pretty small where young children could swallow them. Then there is the drone which can run into and break things if it isn’t monitored. Younger children might also try to put their hands into the spinning rotors. I don’t see this seriously hurting anyone as they are made of flexible plastic, but I am guessing the age recommendation is more of a safety precaution than anything else. If monitored by adults I think younger children could play the game. Due to its simplicity I can see the game working well for the whole family.Price is another really important factor for analysing the quality of Drone Home Game vs other products in the Board games category. It’s obvious, but you will need to set your expectations of quality based on your budget and the price of the product you’re looking at, against the price of alternatives. Just before we get into the detail of analysing the price of this product, we want to briefly highlight the importance of setting yourself a budget before you spend too much time shopping around for a suitable product. It’s all too often that we get carried away when shopping and find ourselves buying a fantastic product, but probably actually overdelivers on what we need and therefore costs a lot more than we should have spent. So spend a bit of time looking around at the sort of price you can expect to pay for products in the Board games category and use that alongside your own financial situation to set yourself a budget. The next step after looking at products in the same category, was to look at products from the same brand, Interplay Games. The reason why I didn't give the game a full five stars is because Drone Pad/Launcher requires four AAA batteries an the drone itself has to be charged via USB, the game does not come with batteries and I didn't have any so I had to go out an buy some. I wished the game would just use recharging for both parts instead...
