About this deal

A tiny mouse in a world of humans preparing for Christmas, Winston just wants to find a warm place to sleep, but he finds a letter to Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and endeavors to deliver it himself. Winston braves a busy intersection, a cat, a rat, an airplane flight, and a blizzard before he ultimately collides with Santa's sleigh and delivers the letter. Divided into 25 chapters, How Winston Delivered Christmas is paced perfectly for bedtime each night of December through Christmas. You could read them during the day, but we found the chapters an ideal balance of excitement, wind-down, and length for our night routine. The plot was quite simplistic but that's to be expected from a children's book. I still enjoyed it a fair amount. Written in twenty-four-and-a-half chapters, one to enjoy each day in the lead up to christmas, each chapter includes it's very own festive activity for all the family to enjoy together – including writing a letter to Father Christmas, making mince pies, designing your very own Christmas cards, making presents, creating decorations, and so much more!

Put the flour, butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and then rub all the ingredients together using your hands.Cette histoire est toute mimi !! J'ai adoré lire un chapitre par soir (ou deux quand je suis rentrée trop tard le soir précédent). The instructions for these stained glass window biscuits are taken from How Winston Delivered Christmas with kind permission from Macmillan Children’s Books Ingredients I don't know if the set-up with 24 chapters really works though. It would be too hard to wait until the next day to read the rest of the story! I would read the whole thing in one sitting, or maybe read part on Christmas Eve and part on Christmas Day. There is no way I could wait the entire month, hearing the story in little pieces. Every chapter ends on a cliff-hanger, and it makes the reader want to keep reading.

If you count down to Christmas or like seasonal stories (or both), then I highly recommend How Winston Delivered Christmas. And that's from someone who doesn't like animals teaming up with Santa. Though Winston doesn't, he just delivers a letter. My kids adore Cyril and Pat – a gorgeous story about friendship and we made this Cyril and Pat craft to go alongside it. This is the perfect book to read together as a family during Christmas, and do some of the activities together! That was fun! Did you notice it's all different stamps? Can we read it again, right away? Winston is soooo cute and adorable! Let's read it again before Christmas; let's read it in Advent. Here, author Alex T. Smith shows us how to draw your own Winston the mouse, how to make the perfect festive decorations, and we share some more fun Christmas activities for kids from the world of Winston.

Winston the mouse is on a Very Important Mission. On Christmas Eve, he finds a letter to Father Christmas that did not make it to the post box – so, with no time to lose, he sets out to deliver it himself in time for Christmas Day! He has a lot of Very Exciting Adventures on his Very Important Mission and makes some wonderful friends along the way. All those frosty mornings and getting cosy after being outside in the cold. And when December arrives Christmas magic is in the air!

Winston is on a Very Important Mission. Will he find Father Christmas in time? Thanks so much for your lovely message and for everything that you do with Book Wagon. Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. How Winston Delivered Christmasis an adventure to share every year in the run up to Christmas, and is full of amazing colour illustrations and activities for the whole family. We received a free physical copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are our own. Told in 24 and a half chapters to read every day of December leading up to Christmas, How Winston Delivered Christmas will fill the month with good cheer and festivity with its' gorgeous illustrations, endearing Christmas tale, and fun holiday activities.Cozy Christmas Feeling with heartwarming characters, I did really love this book and will hopefully read and enjoy Winstons Story again ... many many times. Even though Christmas is over, I can't say that this didn't help spread a shred of Christmas spirit or cheer. However, once you realise that the mouse could have just posted the letter again after it flew out of the letterbox and have avoided so much trouble and near death experiences, the story takes a boring toll. The sense of adventure isn't too keen as Winston makes acquaintances with some pigeons, a cat and a rat. They try to help him but all fail miserably as the poor mouse desperately tries to deliver a letter to Father Christmas. It’s another Bookwagon day in our house. The kids were so excited to get their latest books in the post. Now is the really fun part! Put your boiled sweets into a clean tea towel – one colour per towel – then bash them lightly with a rolling pin, until they are all broken up.
