About this deal

Unfortunately none of the side characters were developed as well as our two protagonist, which meant that I didn't really liked any of them, especially because the antagonists overshadowed the good/neutral characters. The Crais family. Finnula's siblings have distinct personalities and I would have liked to see more of them. I, unfortunately, did not enjoy this one that much. While I did enjoy seeing how Mia and the country of Genovia responded to COVID-19, I thought this installment was tedious and would have been better as a novella. I did love the cameos of the wide variety of characters we know and love from The Princess Diaries. Overall, it just wasn’t for me. Librarian note: AKA Jenny Carroll (1-800-Where-R-You series), AKA Patricia Cabot (historical romance novels). I thought this would be an interesting take on the franchise I loved so much growing up. But I was instantly reminded of why I didn't read the books when I was younger. There's just something about the character's voice that I don't vibe with and never did.

Quarantine Princess Diaries doubles as an informative read about covid and what we can do to stop the pandemic But ofcoarse the plan went along and Finnula kidnapped Hugo and I got pretty pissed because she started turning soft and coy around him. It was like she became another person entirely and Hugo was basically just a pot full of testosterone, that's all I can think of him. He rages like a baboon and feels clearly nothing but sexual desire for Finnula but she took it to mean true love? Mia Thermopolis, Princess of Genovia and star of Meg Cabot's insanely popular #1 New York Times bestselling Princess Diaries books, has "penned" her first historical romance novel . . . with help from Meg Cabot I expected more from the worldbuilding since 1920's England seems so vague and it just seems like a generic countryside to me. There was nothing that distinct about Stephensgate or any other village they came across. So, I was disappointed by that factor. Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret” in Shelf Discovery: The Teen Classics We Never Stopped Reading (July 2009) In Disney's The Princess Diaries 2001, Mia (who was portrayed by Anne Hathaway) is aged 15, unlicensed, and owns a 1965 Mustang. She has similar qualities, but her father dies two months prior to where the movie begins, and her last name is Renaldi instead of Renaldo. She lives in San Francisco instead of New York. It's kinda cringe that Mia is still insecure about Judith Gershner after all these years. It's not like Michael and Judith ever had a long-term relationship; they hooked up once and that was it. I can understand teenage Mia freaking out about it, but adult Mia, wedded mother of two, whose husband had never given her reason to worry? Just comes off as silly Princess in Waiting – Between canceled dates with her long-sought-after royal consort, a second semester of the dreaded Algebra, more princess lessons from Grandmère, and the inability to stop gnawing on her fingernails, isn’t there anything Mia is good at besides inheriting an unwanted royal title? During the Covid-19 pandemic, a section of the diary of Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia fell into the hands of Meg Cabot, the Princess’s royal biographer.

A student at AEHS, Tina is the daughter of a Saudi Arabian oil sheik and a British former supermodel. Because of her father's status, she has to have the protection of a bodyguard, Wahim, which isolates her from the other students until Mia sits with her after a fight with Lilly in the first novel. We all know by the synopsis what this book is about. It's about Mia and her family and extended family living through the first year or so of Covid and being quarantined! This series has now been running for 22 years! There are a lot of political undertones throughout the book regarding covid, mask mandates and gun control that are exhausting to read. Reading about Princess Mia should make the reader laugh out loud and escape but instead this book ended up resembling a news report.High spirited heroine who is just beginning to recognize the effect that men have on her. A hero who is not a jerk. A story line that involves more than just describing their physical attributes and the tingly feelings that each one gets when looking at the other. A few of the factors that combine to make it a great summer read.

The only difference is that Mia's country has a competent leader who actually listens to science/reason. When he finnaly 'satisfied' himself with Finnula, he was then again, unsatisfied at the same time. Yo! When Hugo wants to marry Finnula she goes all 'oh I don't know'. (Although she was going to marry his father, but thats a diffeent story.) Well a bit too late for having second thoughts. When she refuses to see him, he barges through her bedroom door and has his way with her again.Helen Thermopolis: Mia's mother. She has a career as an artist and spends most of her time in her studio. I normally don't read Historical Romances, but I really liked the short snippets of this story we got in Forever Princess and I thought that I should give it a go. I was not disappointed.
