About this deal

The Walls Have Ears is a secondary quest in Chapter 2 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, available on Iorveth path. The story is mostly chronological though there are times when things jump around in a jarring way (like you think it is late 1942 in the story and suddenly it hops into the middle of 1943). In the Avatar: The Last Airbender "Nightmares and Daydreams", one of Aang's hallucinations involves a wall of eyes.

Definition: Be careful what you say because someone might overhear you. Origin of The Walls Have Ears In Awful Hospital, the walls of the Surgery Ward have Tori's eyes on them, although it seems she doesn't pay attention to them often judging by the amount of patients waiting in the lobby.I have kinda managed to convince myself that this isn't too bad. After all, this is a heavy "choices matter" game, in which one choice can make the difference for experiencing a whole chapter. So, missing a side-quest shouldn't be a big deal. Right? Now, let’s listen in on two people talking to learn how to use these words and expressions in a conversation. And it’s okay. We're not eavesdropping. I've given you permission! But the Shadow is growing and your journey is long. It is best to begin at once, in the night. The Enemy has eyes everywhere." As he spoke, a large, hair-covered eyeball rolled ominously from its perch in a tree and fell to the ground with a heavy squelch.

In Death Trance, eyeballs appear growing out of every available surface (even the sides of birds) when the heroes approach the Hatena's lair, to indicate the demonic presence. Okay, I was standing behind your table. When I overheard you and Ann Marie talking about your project my ears perked up. So, I stayed there and listened for a little while … okay, for a long while. No! I was walking behind your table and accidentally overheard what you guys were talking about. Honest. With the exception of Fritz Lustig (father of BBC journalist Robin Lustig) I don’t think anybody was successfully interviewed for this. It’s very very dry.GARZA CUARÓN, Beatriz, Historia de la literatura mexicana: desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días, vol. 2, México: Siglo XXI, 1996. What an amazing story and to think it all happened close to where I grew up (albeit before my time!) at somewhere I only knew as a teacher training college. How very ingenious, very British and very devious. Just goes to show that being 'nice' to people may get more and better intelligence than ripping out toenails or attaching electrodes! Broadly chronological, the book is very episodic which doesn't make for an especially smooth read, but that's probably unavoidable given all the information and twists and turns in the story that the author wants to convey. The chapters relating to the captive generals really stand out and it is just a shame that the intelligence gathered could not be used in Nuremberg prosecutions, but I understand the need for secrecy. It certainly provides evidence - if any were really needed - that the Wehrmacht was up to its eyes in atrocities, in spite of protestations that they were just soldiers doing their duty and it was all the SS, honest guv'nor! Mark your calendars: "The Walls Have Ears" runs from April to May 2023, with 3 weeks in English and 3 weeks in Spanish. We're thrilled to have two different casts bring this powerful story to life!

Abadox, which is set inside a planet-eating Eldritch Abomination, has wall-eyes all over the place. Helen has branched out into fiction with James Hamilton under the pseudonym JH Schryer. Together they have written two novels of historical fiction and been in development on scripts with Green Gaia Films for a TV drama based on their novels. Super Cyborg has most of it's interior levels decorated with Meat Moss as result of the mutant infestation. And more often than not, there will be eyes growing from those walls, some of them blinking, while watching you fight mutant monsters. The final boss area in Pu·Li·Ru·La is a dark room, which sometimes lightens up to show lots of twitchy eyes on the walls. Eladio Cortés; Mirta Barrea-Marlys (1 January 2003). Encyclopedia of Latin American Theater. Greenwood Publishing Group. pp.319–. ISBN 978-0-313-29041-1.The God of Crawling Eyes has the walls on the school start to display eyes that appear and dissapear once the plot begins. In a couple of areas in the game, they even start following the protagonist. English has another expression related to eavesdropping and the home: the walls have ears. This means be careful what you say as there might be people listening. This form of eavesdropping became common practice with rulers from many cultures. In English, the phrase "the walls have ears" was first recorded in its present form in the mid-1600s.
