About this deal

Zevin’s prose hits all the right notes. She expertly implements a variety of writing styles, and, with unexpected twists keeps the reader guessing until the very end! Initially I had trouble getting through parts of this book and even put it aside for a day. Some of the details of designing, coding and playing video games were tedious for me to read. the writing, narrative, structure, (the gaming), the characters: (major and minor), and their relationships are LOVABLE as can be….

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (Hardback) - Waterstones Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (Hardback) - Waterstones

Anyone who reads Tomorrow can't stop talking about it. The story of Sam and Sadie and the worlds they create is something truly special StylistThe sort of book that comes around once in a decade - a magnificent feat of storytelling. It is a book about the intersection between love and friendship, work and vocation, and the impossible and relentless pull of our own west-bound destinies REBECCA SERLE, author of In Five Years It feels right that the best video game novel out there is by a woman. Her story about the decades-long friendship and partnership between video game designers Sam and Sadie gets at so much about work, love and storytelling. It's a book that spawns great conversations. Irenosen Okojie, author of Nudibranch Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (an ode to MacBeth, which later, ties beautifully into one of the characters arcs) is the story of missed opportunities, successes, pains, love, and a passion for art. What is a game? … It’s tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. It’s a possibility of infinite rebirth, infinite redemption. The idea that if you keep playing, you could win. No loss is permanent, because nothing is permanent, ever”.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow - Goodreads

A beautifully wrought saga of human connection and the creative process, of love and all of its complicated levels' ERIN MORGENSTERN, author of The Night Circus The story of three brilliant kids who found a videogame company, this book is about so much more—friendship, love, loyalty, violence in America and the magic of invented worlds. Gorgeous.” I already miss these characters so much! I would encourage you to give this novel a try, even if you’ve never played a video game in your life!!! This is a boy meets girl story that is never a romance – though it is romantic… Zevin blurs the lines between reality and play… Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is an artfully balanced novel – charming but never saccharine. The world Zevin has created is textured, expansive and, just like those built by her characters, playful.” the audiobook. the narrator does such a fantastic job and with all the dialogue, it flows so well and gives you a better feel for the personalitiesSam and Sadie meet in a hospital. Sadie is there to visit her sister, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and Sam is a patient. He was in a horrific car accident and his foot has been repaired but it will never be normal!! He will be in constant pain!! It’s my sister who died of dysentery, Sam Masur, Sadie said. I died of exhaustion, following a snakebite”. A novel that treasures the act of play and holds it sacred . . . the world of video games and video game development is just the landscape in which life plays out . . . Tomorrow is about love, above all things Sarah Maria Griffin, Guardian Sadie (Jewish-American) was one of the most brilliant people that Sam (American, part Korean and part Jewish descent) knew. Originally, I rated this 4.5 instead of 5 stars; however, I've thought about this book a lot since finishing it several days ago. And anything that makes me self-reflect...that moves me enough to contemplate the facets of it days later...deserves the full five.
