About this deal

And that essentially covers how to use this camera on land. Read the manual, use fresh film, and your photos will be properly focused and properly exposed a better-than-average 95% of the time.

Ah ha, that’s a great piece of trivia. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the AF-7 I found in a charity shop had been separated from its tiger. 🙁 Reply CdS cell for full-auto program EE. Metering range of EV 6 – 17 (at ISO 100). Film speed range of ISO 25 – 400.Very soft corners at 38mm at what I assume must be wide open. I’m talking about quite a bit of mush here. However, centre sharpness is respectable wide open. And the corners become acceptable once the lens stops down, but still a bit soft. Mild pincushion distortion. 100%ish crop. The corners are dreadful at what I think is pretty much wide open… One interesting thing to note is that the viewfinder also changes magnification to adjust for the switch between half and full-frame. Since you’re basically cropping the image circle in half the lens effectively becomes a 50mm/85mm, which I personally find to be a more compelling duo than 35 and 60, but that’s an entirely personal opinion. There’s no reason to choose the Canon over any of the other underwater point-and-shoot cameras, but there’s also no reason to choose the others over the Canon. This decision may come down to brand loyalty, an aesthetic tingle, or a fondness or loathing for white plastic. Leather Camera Strap with Patterned Design, Custom Camera Strap Nikon Fuji Canon Sony, Women Camera Strap, DSLR Camera Strap, Gifts for Her Shutter Speeds: Most models’ fastest shutter speed is 1/500 but a few models are slower. Later models have a longer maximum shutter speed, up to 2 seconds.

is soft even in the centre. But it’s evenly soft throughout the frame, if that’s any consolation. I was a bit surprised that sharpness dropped so much from 70 to 85, but lots of the shots I took at the longest focal length were noticeably soft, assuming there was no focusing error. Disappointingly soft at 85mm. Or is it a focus problem? I used this camera in my pool, in a park, and at the beach. I made a bunch of good photos. A good photographer could probably make great photos.

Four years after the original Canon AF35M, a new, updated version was released. The (New) Sure Shot looks incredibly similar to the original, and the majority of the features are unchanged. a b Canon Inc. "AF35M". Canon Camera Museum. Archived from the original on 2015-12-23 . I think the Canon Sureshot Zoom XL is a great camera for shooting people with. The lens is not very wide or very long but it can do some shallow depth of field if conditions are right, and it’s decently sharp in the middle of the range. Here are a few: Metering Range (at ISO 100) – Flash Auto and Flash On modes 1/60 f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV9.5-17); Flash Off mode 2 seconds f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV3-17) I’ve enjoyed shooting half frame 35mm film photography for quite some time now. Of course, being a broke college student, the thought of 72 photos in a roll is quite intriguing. However, it’s not all about the money; I feel that this “abundance” of shots also provides a new perspective when walking around and shooting. I’m more willing to take “risky” shots when it’s just 1/72nd of my roll, I’m not taking things so seriously, and – while perhaps not portfolio-worthy – I end up with a multitude of fond memories and surprisingly sharp images. The second part to the history of the Sure Shot A1 is the Canon Sure Shot range of cameras. By the late 1970s, compact cameras had well established themselves. In 1979 Canon released the original Sure Shot, also known as the AF35M and Autoboy. From this original model, the subsequent models were updated and in some cases had their own sub range. Some included fixed lenses, some zooms, some were high end models, some very basic lower end and some with date and panoramic features. First released in 1979, the Canon Sure Shot was a compact, 35mm film camera that featured a groundbreaking new technology – autofocus. It was a big hit.If that sounds like the kind of film camera you want, then yes. You wouldn’t go far wrong with a Canon Sure Shot AF-7, or Owl, or Prima, or whatever else it may come labelled as. Poor is subjective though, and the Canon Sure Shot AF-7 might be better than you’d expect for less than the price of a roll of film.
