The mopping is awesome. Once you start a mopping session, Bun Bun takes several minutes to wash the mops. Then it trundles off to the cleaning area, where it applies about 2 pounds of downward pressure with two mops that each rotate at 180 rpm. You can toggle on auto-mop washing or change the mop washing frequency. Even with a mop washing frequency of every 10 minutes, it still took Bun Bun only 30 minutes to mop the 258 square feet that included my kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom. I tested the Eufy Clean X9 Pro in my two-bedroom, two-bathroom over three weeks. I would send it out to perform cleans many times throughout the week, using almost all the different settings on the robot vacuum. I placed it in the center of my main living space for easier access to all the rooms. The flooring in my home consists of a hard laminate throughout, with a few rugs, including some tassel options scattered about. Unfortunately, I don’t have any carpets to test on.

The eufy X9 Pro can be used on a higher suction setting to vacuum hard floors effectively. If you choose to deploy the machine’s Twin-Turbo Powered Mop Master system, the bot will change the pressure according to the floor surface, ridding the floor of dirt and tough stains. Once mopping is completed, the mop is automatically raised 12mm to keep the carpets dry while vacuuming. The vac unit itself is slightly squared off at the front as opposed to being completely round like most robot vacs. I’ve personally always preferred this design – witness my review of the iRobot Roomba S9+– because it can reach into corners a little easier so its spinning side brush can make a better fist of sweeping loose debris into the path of the roller.
