About this deal

The Reflect Flows beat that. They manage 10 hours of run time, and a further 20 from the case, making for a grand total of 30 hours. That's more than enough exercise for anyone, and up there with the best wireless headphones around. The Beats Powerbeats Pro also have ear tips, but they use a slightly different ear hook design. These are bendable, meaning you can adjust them to fit your ear. And when you do, they provide a nice tight fit to the side of your head. The app’s dashboard looks great and allows you to access all the functionality of the headphones in just a couple of taps. You’ve got basic options such as switching between ANC, Ambient Aware or TalkThru, but you can also access more advanced features, such as the built-in equaliser if you want to tweak the audio. You can also switch between Smart Audio or Smart Video modes that optimise either sound quality or improve lip-sync depending on how you’re using them. Equipped with a 5.8 mm driver unit, the JBL Reflect Flow delivers clear and detailed sound. It features a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 110 mAh, ensuring a long-lasting listening experience. The earphones utilize Bluetooth version 5.0, allowing for seamless wireless connectivity to compatible devices. It supports various Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP. JBL claims a massive 10 hours of battery life. While that maybe is possible at lower volume levels I found that with the volume set at about 70% of maximum I achieved 8 hours which is still a good result when comparing to other sports earphones. You get and extra 20 hours of charge from the rather large carry case so that means most people should be looking at charging twice a week.

It's a shame there's no support for high-quality wireless audio codecs such as LDACor aptX HD, nor is there wireless charging or Bluetooth multipoint (both of which the Sony WF-1000XM5 cater for). But we don't think this is the end of the world when you consider that these classy buds ooze such sophistication.

Should you buy the JBL Reflect Flow Pro?

The charging case takes a while to top up at around two hours via the USB-C port on the rear, but it’s not necessarily a dealbreaker. Audio performance The flow have very good build quality but its not a premium construction. These earbuds are designed to be used for sports and having a high quality durable design takes the lead over fancy metal chassis’s and bling factor. They are designed t be used hard, most likely in the gym and running (al though they are more than suitable enough to be used in day to day life). Although we have dedicated testing facilities in London, Reading and Bath, the bulk of our wireless earbuds testing happens outside those facilities, whether that's on the street or in our busy office. With an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, these headphones are suitable for outdoor activities and workouts. They can withstand immersion in water up to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, ensuring their durability and reliability. As mentioned above, the primary cause of this issue is a connection/ pairing issue, and in the majority of cases resetting your earbuds should solve the issue.

Sony’s WF-1000XM5 are the best AirPods alternatives, and are actually better than Apple’s earbuds. That's thanks to class-leading detail and clarity, top timing and a comfortable, discreet design. Only supported on Android (**) Android 6.0 or higher is required for full access to Alexa features when using this device. The highs are inoffensive and smooth. The is no crystal clear audiophile experience yet they carry enough punch while sitting forward of the mids to make an almost energetic sounding earphone. No issues with sibilance was detected and this is a very non fatiguing presentation of the highs. It’s still a solid performance for the money. Under direct comparison with the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 true wireless in-ears, we find the Melomania 1s reveal more acoustic clues and detail resolution – however, those buds are not intended for sport use. VerdictYou get a lot for very little money with the Earfun Air, including punchy sound, waterproofing and wireless charging. More cash will get you better performance, but if you’re on a tight budget, look no further than these champs. We’ll walk you through fixes & how to diagnose the problem. Let’s get started! 1. Reset Your Earbuds

While headphones were once simple devices for listening to music, that’s not the case in 2021 – these days, headphones and wireless earbuds have to do more. The JBL Headphones app also offers the ability to customise the sound on offer from the buds, with preset options to choose from as well as the ability to create your own custom EQ – perfect for audio wizards that want to squeeze the best performance possible out of the wireless earbuds. There is a two part build to it. The fist is the earbuds themselves which are made from some tough plastics with rubberized texture. The feel hard wearing and resistant to drops and scratches. The second part is the silicone sleeve that partly covers the housing and works as the tip section for the earphone. The Reflect Flows have a longer battery life than their predecessors, at ten hours from the buds themselves and 20 more via the case. The whole lot can go from empty to fully charged in about two hours. These earphones stand for optimal freedom of movement and a completely wireless lifestyle. The earbuds sit completely independently in your ears without a cable. The left one functions as the primary earpiece that links to your smartphone via Bluetooth and then transmits the signal to the right earpiece. Fully wireless earbuds make calling, listening to music or exercising all equally easy and enjoyable. Charging CaseJBL uses six mics to help with call quality, and testing in relatively sedate environments, voices come through with a fair amount of detail and clarity. Nevertheless, those figures were accurate based on our testing. With ANC engaged, that quoted 8-hour figure was spot on. There wasn’t any worrying drop-off after an hour-long workout with ANC enabled, with the battery of each earbud depleted by about 10%. The JBL Reflect Flow Pro wireless earbuds are the ideal companion if you’re a runner or regularly partake in outdoor events, boasting not only fins that help keep the buds snug in your ears but IP68 water and dust resistance too, surviving not only sweat but a full-blown storm without missing a beat. Since you are continuously in motion when playing sports, these earbuds are ergonomically designed to fit in your ears so that they do not fall out easily. Thanks to the long battery life, you can enjoy hours of playtime to compliment your active lifestyle, whether you’re in the gym or the pool. Buying wireless earbuds The sound quality is superbly balanced too, with deep, detailed bass, expressive mids and engaging highs. They're a very musical listen for the money.

It's only when nailing down the finer details of audio quality that we head for quieter environments where we compare the AirPods alternatives we're testing to price-comparable models.
