Personally, I didn't find anything wrong with Sarah's photo, I didn't even look at it closely enough until I read these pathetic comments. She still looked fine to me. Human. Ageing is a natural process which we all will have to go through. Our features will deteriorate and most of us will fail to rescue that in photos.... Don't understand why people feel the need to comment on someone's looks just like that. The audacity of it makes me angry. For a more floral fragrance similar to SJP Stash Perfume, try Philosophy Love Sweet Love Perfume. This perfume features notes of lily, rose and jasmine blended with sandalwood and musk for a sweet and subtly seductive aroma.

I am not particularly fond of the Lovely fragrance, personally though. Other people happen to adore it. Well, actually I came across this perfume at one of the biggest federal cosmetics stores in Moscow - Russia. I couldn't have confused it for anything else, I believe... I like her, and appreciate how serious she takes her brand. Will eventually find it on one of my travels. I love that my random remark has given you a way to use your oil. A couple of fragrant oil drops in the bath really change the whole experience for me too. My current favourite is a vintage Caron Bellodgia. It’s only 15 ml but with judicious drops I’ve eked it out over years and it’s still half full. Any more than a drop or two and it’s overwhelming.

In short, she is the avatar for every one of us not born looking like a model who wishes we could find the confidence to walk like one...without being an insufferable, self-deluding jerk. That is her magic. You’ve reminded me: I have Pharrell Girl and Eau de Gaga in my hoard, but haven’t opened and tried them yet. I have and like Covet; you’re right, it is weird. Sometimes it’s just what I want, though! I love incense based fragrances. I regularly wear heavy fragrances, and I regularly wear mens fragrances. Unfortunately, my skin also tends to amplify woods. This bottle design was inspired right out of the lab when Sarah Jessica was creating the fragrance. The simple cylindrical bottle and stopper inspired cap mimic the samples she loved when smelling the fragrance. She ripped off a piece of tape and wrote right on it “STASH SJP,” and so it was born. With added details, including the cord and an SJP emblem, this is a beautiful marriage of function and luxury, minimalism, and old-world design.

I can't wait to try this. I finally warmed to Stash but still disappointed about the poor longevity. Well that’s weird, there is no oil ingredient in there at all! All of those are fragrance components, aren’t they? I use bath oil more regularly now, because my skin has become so dry, especially in the winter when the house is heated. Most of the time, I use an unscented oil like Neutrogena’s sesame body oil; I just squirt some in the bath water. After Portia’s comment, I’ve added less than a dropperful of the Stash elixir oil, and it is wonderful — it scents the whole bathroom. Sillage is not a problem with this fragrance — it carries quite a way. I want it. I’m a big fan of Lovely and of the Covet. I don’t doubt that I would really like Stash too.I say this with All Due Respect and Friendship… That you liked this fragrance has intensified my already rabid desire to Smell/Buy this fragrance a Thousand-fold! I know Kevin, it takes something good for you to be impressed and I respect that and Now, since I am already a fan of ALL THINGS SJP am tittering with your wonderful review. I cannot wait to get my own Stash of “Stash” It overjoys me that Sarah got to make her unique scent finally! Although, Am I the only one who thought “Covet” was a little off the reservation as well with it’s Bold opening of Chocolate and Lemon??? SJP has always had kind of a Kooky sense of Smell and one that I personally jibe with Totally. mamakatt38 -You're not feeling so confident today and have altered your comments AND removed your photo? One must take a good look into the mirror before they even think of saying something nasty about someone's looks and you were really brutal and out there! I am disgusted with your hypocrisy. With no testers or promotion in store, its gonna have to be a blind buy as I'm loving the buzz around this celeb offering. :)

Fast forward to now, the holiday gift sets were on sale at Ulta, fragrance forums were abuzz with people falling in love with this all over again and I decided to give it a third go. Like a lot of people here, I was initially surprised by the photograph used to promote this fragrance. However, after reading the associations with the Russian ballet it makes sense. Her makeup is heavy and a theatrical. Just like a real performing ballerina. It also seems to be overexposed which I also think is a subtle nod to strong and unforgiving stage lights. I read somewhere that there's supposed to be an element of "man sweat" in this fragrance. Dunno where that was, but it gave me pause. Stash is one of my top ten in my collection. I bought two different gift sets at Marshall’s years ago, so I’m set for a long time. I don’t usually like cedar but it works for me in Stash. I use the oil on my skin, and sometimes my hair as well. SJP Covet is also in my top ten, but it’s much weirder. Haven’t tried Stash Unspoken, and have a bottles of Lovely and Covet Pure Bloom that I plan to give away, not “me”. I do have Adam Levine for Her – good! And have little bottles of the Queen Latifah perfumes. Pharrell Girl and Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga (don’t even remember what it smells like!) round out my “celebrity” offerings. No matter which perfume you choose, you can be sure to find a scent similar to SJP Stash Perfume that will suit your individual style. With the variety of fragrances available, you are sure to find one that will become your signature scent.
