About this deal

Ugh, that DA box is pretty crap- Azrael himself and the termies are ok, but no one needs any more Intercessors. Wrath of the Soul Forge King Box Set: What is the Value? Wrath of the Soul Forge King Box Set: What is the Value?

Introducing such a grand new character into the world of Warhammer 40,000 is no mean feat, but what exactly goes into making a demigod like Vashtorr? We caught up with Steven, the miniatures designer who crafted the King.** The Wrath of the Soul Forge King set, like just about every battlebox before it, comes with a campaign book. Since they are effectively staging another Ark of Omen scenario, you’d think they would have thrown some of the new scenario models in the box. Preferably something with a DA feel to it. Prefer your giant war machines with spikes and tentacles? Pledge your Knights to the Dark Powers with the Chaos Knights Dice Set, containing 15 red pearlescent dice with gold pips and the Chaos Knights faction logo on the six face. Typhon Heavy Siege Tank But parts of the box do feel like more of an exercise in quantity over quality. All the models in the box are nice, sure, but by comparison do feel a little like safe choices. The Chaos Cultists – which good-quality models – are dull by immediate comparison. The Dark Angels don’t get off scott-free either. You may have noticed that GW did give you both a helmeted head and a bare one, along with accounting for either option with the watcher in the dark, the little guy gets either a helmet or a big ass sheath to haul around. This does lead to a scenario I find quite amusing as there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from giving both of them helmets, just in case you want Azrael to have a spare noggin protector. Review: New Vallejo Game Color range – now for pro painters only? 3k views | posted on January 7, 2023 Warhammer 40,000: Wrath of the Soul Forge King is a solid – albeit at times somewhat varied – release. It is indubitably carried by its brand-new and currently exclusive models, as Vashtorr the Arkifane and Grand Master Azrael are phenomenal miniatures that will leave any Warhammer fan wide-eyed with wonder. However, some of the other 29 other models in the box do feel a bit bland by comparison. Warhammer 40,000: Wrath of the Soul Forge King Review – Introduction

Wrath of the Soul Forge King boxset - + NEWS, RUMORS, AND Wrath of the Soul Forge King boxset - + NEWS, RUMORS, AND

The new Wrath of the Soul-Forge King box comes with two new models: A larger Azrael with a new hat and a physical manifestation of Vashtorr, the newest player in the Great Game between the Gods of Chaos. If you’re looking for a review of Vashtorr, swing over to his article to see the larger of the two new models from this boxset. Azreal, on the other hand, is the latest of the marine characters to have gotten a Primaris refresh. Read on for our thoughts on this most recent of enbigginings. Skaven are ascendent in Guy Haley’s The Rise of the Horned Rat . Verminlords stalk the World-that-Was, and two rival kings prepare to face the full force of Queek Headtaker’s verminous horde in the fourth book of the End Times series, which is heading to audiobook next week. Wrath of The Lost On the whole, the box is good. There are a slew of good-quality miniatures in here, including two very new, very exciting figures in the form of Vashtorr and Azrael. These two models are seriously impressive and very much make up for some of the shortcomings in the box. The rest of the Chaos miniatures are very nice and not too difficult to assemble either, which is always a bonus. I love the Obliterators in particular and really can’t wait to paint these up and add them to the small collection of Chaos figures I already have. There’s not much to really say here. The Primaris Intercessor has very provided the design framework for every other Primaris unit we’ve seen over the last few years. They each have a satisfying, likeable sculpt that’s easy for new painters to understand and practice their skills on, yet have just enough texture and variation to allow more experienced brushsmiths to really create something special. The Alpha Legion never make it easy for anyone, do they? The One Who is Many is either an assassin par excellence or a lot of assassins par excellence who are pretending to be a single assassin par excellence . Either way, he’s on his way to execute key characters at your command. The One Who is Many is sculpted in resin. Traitor Esoterist ConsulAs a Dark Angels collector, I have to admit I’ve been looking forward to this one. Over the years, the Dark Angels have been blessed with some awesome chapter-specific units, but these are starting to show their age now. That we’ve got a new Azrael model will get hopes up for Dark Angels fans everywhere: perhaps we’ll see some new Deathwing units, or an update to the now-dated character models, such as Ezekiel, Asmodai, and Sammael. Warhammer 40,000: Wrath of the Soul Forge King Review – Unboxing Wrath of the Soul Forge King has grabbed the attention of many hobbyists, wargamers, and other collectors the world over for two very distinct reasons. Those reasons are called Azrael and Vashtorr.
