About this deal

With regards to PEDO, the energy organisation that was renamed from SHDO, Reham makes startling claims of how corrupt the functioning was. Under Omar, PEDO involved privatisation of the hydel projects to PTI favourites or “cronies” as she writes at very low prices.

The only part that I found satisfactory was her portrayal of a marriage with an alcoholic abusive man. The way young women are eager to please abusive husbands and often find faults within themselves is very realistic and common. When my first husband would get drunk every night, I would get very angry about it, especially when he would collapse in public and I’d have to put him in the car and drive him home. My attitude was not the least bit understanding, but with Imran, I was gentle. Not once did I show anger or accuse him of being a drug addict. Instead, I adopted a quieter approach. Every morning, I would find his saucer hidden in a new spot, with a credit card and residual coke. I would move it so Imran would know that I knew. He had asked me right at the start to support him in getting out of his bad habits. I made gentle suggestions, and he made endless promises to quit. The miracle of Reham’s story is that, throughout it all, this housewife-turned-journalist-turned-social-activist has managed to balance her work with her primary role of being a mother. She shows us the challenges that a woman can overcome when she wants more from life than tradition expects of her. The PTI is calling for the memoir to be banned in Pakistan, and has threatened to sue Reham in Britain on defamation charges. A number of legal notices against her have already been filed in Pakistani courts. She alleged that Khan had addictions and claimed that Khan possessed drugs like tranquillisers including benzodiazepines like Xanax and Lexotanil. [3]The advocate general said the prime minister was of the view that no one was above the law and the state would not show any weakness if anybody, irrespective of his status, took law into his own hands. Murad to act against Reham I have nothing to say about Reham Khan’s allegations and whatever filth the woman’s written about me or anyone. It’s shameful beyond words. It’s pretty obvious whose hands she’s playing in, the woman and her aides have totally lost the plot.— Murad Saeed (@MuradSaeedPTI) June 5, 2018 This was probably one of the most carelessly written books I've ever read. EVER. The language isn't engaging, and the writing technique (if there is one) is quite sloppy. Reham claims that her ex-husband engaged in gay encounters. Naming his close friend, Moby, she states that the men were in a “live-in relationship” despite the latter being married. She also mentions how she allegedly found empty cigar cases and huge tubes of KY jelly on Imran Khan’s bedside table. ISLAMABAD: While Prime Minister Imran Khan decided on Thursday to file a complaint against an additional session judge in Islamabad for “going beyond his mandate” in passing a judgement apparently favouring media personality Mohsin Jamil Baig, Communications Minister Murad Saeed vowed to sue Mr Khan’s former wife, Reham Khan, for mentioning “illicit” relations between him and the prime minister in her book.

Really, she paints a picture of a world that seems more and more like some distant planet I've never heard of. Further, the book also claims that Imran Khan forced a young girl to abort her pregnancy. While Imran had refuted the allegations in public, Reham claims that he did indeed tell her that it was the truth. Reham also writes about a sexual encounter between Imran and a transgender dancer.

A must read sociological treatise for our part of the world, predecsessors for which include books such as ˋThe Punjabi Century´ by Tandon & The Roy Family in Bengali. This book is partly a hagiography of the author and her extended family, and partly an autobiography of her famous ex—husband Imran Khan.

Later, Imran Khan said in an interview that his marriage with Reham was his biggest mistake. [10] Reham denies that there are any cases filed against her by saying that those are just social media threats. [11] Interestingly, she also writes about how Imran would talk often about his future as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and how she would give him the example of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who she claimed was voted to power despite having "radical" views. Further, she also writes about an episode where he told her how in Worcestershire, while he doing his A levels, a 12-year-old boy had forced himself on a then 18-year-old Imran. Her exˋs chamchas(sycophants), the Insafian/PTI supporters have been ready to denounce the parts related to her husband as a slander. However the fact that what Imran Khan had himself to say about the book amounts to a total of zero words, says a lot, Daal mein kuchh kaala hai! a b c d e f g h "Sex, Drugs, Illegitimate Children, Corruption: Reham Khan on Ex-Husband Imran Khan". 12 July 2018.

He would say repeatedly; “You’ve made me give up cocaine. It’s no fun when your partner doesn’t do it”. And he would say it as if there was nothing else good about the marriage. I realised later that he wanted me to think he was not doing it anymore, so I would never talk about it after he carried out his plan. However, the drug use had increased so much by October that it couldn’t really be hidden. The day of the NA-122 (Lahore-V) result was a major moment. We had been watching the results on TV. Reham called Imran Khan a free-loader as he never bought any vegetables. Instead, he got them free from political colleagues like Jahangir Khan Tareen and Tariq Fazal Chaudhary. [2] [3] Other allegations revolve around corruption of Pervez Khattak and privatization scheme of Asad Umar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. [3] She also alleged that Khattak used marijuana. [3]

However, some senior police officials reportedly told mediapersons on Thursday that they were being pressurised by the Prime Minister Office to take stern action against Mr Baig. Advocate General Niazullah Niazi told Dawn after a meeting with Mr Khan on Thursday: “The prime minister has directed me to file a petition/reference against Additional Session Judge Islamabad Zafar Iqbal for giving judgement beyond his mandate before Islamabad High Court chief justice [Athar Minallah].” Following the disclosure of Reham’s claims, Akram had sent a legal notice to her, calling her claims “grossly defamatory, indecent and disrespectful to (his) late wife.”Meanwhile, Reham Khan has also mentioned in her book that PTI’s media coordinator Anila Khawaja was “the chief of the harem”.

The book essentially tells you that Reham Khan is oh-so-perfect, the popular girl, the beautiful, tall, intelligent, career-oriented woman who has remained a victim throughout her life. So basically, there's nothing in her story that you could relate to. Asked why he did not take action against the person (Reham Khan) whose book is used as a reference to malign him and the prime minister, he said a legal action would shortly be taken against her. Responding to a question about “harsh” treatment of the FIA team with Mohsin Baig, the minister said he had chosen a legal way to file an application against the editor but he was not responsible for the way the FIA took action. Reham Khan hints about a conversation that she had with her ex-husband regarding Tyrian White, his alleged daughter with Sita White. Imran allegedly told her that Tyrian was not the only one and that he had five other illegitimate children “that he knew of”. Other than her, the book claims that only Jemima Goldsmith, Imran’s first wife, was aware of the “illegitimate” children. As a TV anchor,Reham Khan comes across as intelligent, charming and articulate. In this book, however, she is just a woman wanting to settle scores with her ex-husbands (she has two).
