The buds should fit into your ear canal with the logos facing right side up. The tips of the earbuds should feel comfortable in your ears without feeling any pressure. Also, make sure you have the correct fitting eartips. The actual earbuds themselves may very well be the best-fitting and most comfortable I’ve ever tried. They just slot in (in one specific way) and fit perfectly. There was no adjusting, no changing rubber bits for the right shape or size, just out of the box comfort. That’s an absolute triumph in itself if we’re being honest. Take the earbud out of the case and press and hold the MFB for 1.5s to power them on manually. You will need to wear an earbud to get the tone“ Power on”. In terms of sound quality, the SoundPEATS Free2 earphones don’t exactly have the best sound quality, they have an acceptable amount of stereo effect and a powerful dynamic range for all types of music with excellent treble, mid-tones, and bass. Equipped with 6mm dynamic drivers that give you surprisingly clean sound with little to no noise when the ultra-low frequencies let you know where each singer was positioned, the intensity of their voice, and instrument discrimination was good and everything felt very balanced. So the Free2 Classic was great in that regard. While the SoundPEATS Free2 classic’s build is lightweight, they still feel pretty sturdy and look great. In addition, while the case is entirely made of plastic, the two-tone color scheme and faux leather texture give these earphones a somewhat luxurious feel.If you are looking for an upgrade or simply want to try a new version of these inexpensive earbuds that offer a good value; Look no further. The Soundpeats Free2 Classic Wireless Earbuds are an excellent pair of wireless headphones with a compact design that is comfortable and secure. On the other hand, SoundPEATS made their name selling highly affordable wired earphones and headsets that sound good for the price, so I wonder if they can bring that magic over to the Bluetooth side. In the style of the smaller in-ear buds, without the stalk that hangs out. The Free2 Classic are a decent option at the price point.

While I am a big shill for these as a commute pair, that's where I draw the line. They are good enough for a Zoom call, with mics that just barely do the job. The Free2 Classic provide an ideal blend of features at a price point that’s quite enticing. Sure, they may not deliver on all fronts, but we honestly feel that most will be plenty satisfied with them. They’re compact, water reisistant and generously priced. If they’re in your budget, try them out! If you can stretch your budget a bit more, go with the Mini Pro! The sound quality for phone calls on both earbuds was good, and the dust proof mic worked. The Mini Pro had a slightly better phone call experience since it has ANC.Free2 classic does not support to connect to several devices at the same time when they are pairing.

That’s why FPS gaming is a viable option with these headphones by making sure that the sound effects sync properly with your screen at all times. It is a perfect feature that works very well if you are a Fortnite, Battlefield Mobile, or PUBG, it makes a difference but there is still some lag. For watching a video, the sound on your smartphone screen matches what you see on the screen without delay. Call Quality In testing these earbuds, we found the sound quality to be good. We got a good full sound out of the earbuds in all modes. We prefer the ANC mode over the others. There were no issues with pairing the earbuds and the battery life was good. We listen to music a few hours a day and the battery lasted over a month on the initial charge. SoundPEATS have decided to go with the touch controls for all of the functionality. All you need to do is tap the logo area of the earbuds and they are very touch-sensitive. It may take someone who is new to touch controls a few days to learn how to bring up each control but soon you will master it.The Free2 Classic is a modest offering in terms of what you get in the box, but why should it be anything else? The Free2 Classic have a very slim profile. Most notably, they’re much smaller than your average set of wireless earbuds. Although this means they fit well for those with small ears, those with larger-sized ear canals will probably need to utilize the largest included eartips. Speaking of, it seems as long as you have the proper sized eartips, the buds stay put; they don’t move or come out of position on their own over time. Besides the touch control, there is a magnetic charging connector and with a total of four microphones, 2 for each bud, which is responsible for reducing ambient noise for good and clear sound reception during calls and to accurately distinguish between human voice and noise. Upon their arrival, we were quite excited to open the SoundPEATS Free2 Classic and get right into listening. However, we first wanted to take note on everything that’s in the box. The earbuds come shipped within their portable charging case with a few notable accessories. First, you get a short USB-C to USB-A charging cable. It’s long enough to charge, but awfully short; not too big of deal, but worth pointing out. Next, you get a larger and smaller size set of silicone eartips. These are used to swap-out the medium-sized tips that come pre-installed. Lastly, a user guide is included. It’s multi-lingual and contains a few tips and instructions on pairing, controlling and wearing the earbuds. In addition, the extended bass makes these earphones quite fun to listen to, especially when you’re listening to well-recorded dance music. For example, I had a great time listening to Drake’s new album “Honestly, Nevermind” on these buds, as the vocals were very crisp, and the bass was fast and precise, especially for a twentysomething dollar pair of earbuds.

Furthermore, the Free2 classic still had enough refinement to make audiophile recordings like Macy Gray’s “Stripped” sound good, providing decent soundstage and separation between the instrumental and vocal parts, along with good detail and air for the price point. No harshness up top either. In my mind, the charging port alone is worth a couple of bonus points to be honest. Good work SoundPEATS, the Free2 Classic is a notch above the rest in this regard. I can finally throw some old cables away and use the same one for everything! Sounds In addition, they are IPX5 rated, so they are sweat resistant for workouts, and they have metal mesh over the mics to keep dust and debris out. On the outside of each earpiece is a touch-sensitive control pad, and on the Inside there are 6mm “bio-compound” diaphragm drivers.So, are you looking for a cheap pair of earphones still worth the cash? Well, read on, and I’ll let you know if the SoundPEATS Free2 classic fits the bill! Some audio, such as vocal-rich country music or acoustic guitar was acceptable. The earbuds seem to deliver certain genres more accurately than others. Anything with heavy bass or deep low tones comes across as a bit weak and empty. In fact, it’s obvious that these are budget-friendly headphones; the audio simply doesn’t live up to any kind of hype. And when turned up to a maximum volume level, distortion comes across on all levels. We’re not necessarily saying these are the worst earbuds available, but they’re certainly not as capable as the SoundPEATS Mini Pro. As you can see, there are quite a bit of different functions that can be performed with the touch controls. Unfortunately, we found the touch controls to act up a bit when you’re placing the earbuds within your ears. Naturally, you have to touch the logo area on the exterior of the buds to insert them into your ears. With this, it’s easy to accidently activate certain functions that you wouldn’t necessarily want at that time. It’s not a big deal, but something we think users should be aware of. The one issue you will have with these earbuds though is wind noise. The way the earbuds are designed, if you are outside on a windy day listening to music, you are going to hear noise from the wind in your earbuds. Even if you try to get the tightest fit on the ear tips in your ear, it’s not going to work. We have found this to be common with earbuds that use ear tips. Even when in ANC mode, you will hear the wind. As far as sound is concerned, I have to say I was pretty surprised at the clarity of these affordable buds, especially since they don’t support advanced audio codecs like aptX or LDAC. While they are more bass-heavy than I usually prefer, the low end doesn’t muddy the midrange at all, and it’s very well controlled and deep.
