About this deal

I don't own it, but I've heard from a couple of people here that the recent Rhino Vol 4 (the one that was on colored vinyl and is now on black vinyl) is terrible. When comparing original pressings of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album to reissued versions, such as the one released as part of the “Black Sabbath The Vinyl Collection 1970-1978”, some may prefer the vintage sound of the original. The stereo track really sounds no better than a good CD release, high bit rates will not sound better than a well mastered CD version. which has a terrible mix, this is the only live recording with the original line-up that I've ever heard. Ostensibly, the album is heavy metal, but listening to it contemporaneously leaves no room for doubt that it would now be viewed as a doom metal record, perhaps the greatest.

Subsequent ''swirl'' Vertigo reissues changed all credits into upper and lower case and also adds in composition and publishing credits. Over the last few months he has disarmed packed rooms of rowdy concert goers, leaving them silent as they hold fast to every syllable sung. I *was* looking forward to comparing it to the 2012 remaster disc but to my surprise my box set is missing that disc! Whether it’s a first-time listener or a die-hard fan, the vinyl edition of “Paranoid” offers an unrivaled listening experience. These are arguably the best sounding and even if UK vertigo sounds better, the US press has Wicker World, the infinitely superior track if you ask me.These sets had previously been available on bootlegs but have been polished up for the official release. The deluxe edition of Paranoid, celebrating its 50th anniversary, is available as a five-LP/four-CD set.

These tracks, among others, have gone on to become some of the most iconic heavy metal songs in history. With its enduring influence and timeless sound, Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album is a must-have for any serious collector or fan of rock and metal music. Rhino released the S/T on colored vinyl, presumably with the same mastering as Disc 1 of the 2LP deluxe set (other members have confirmed this), and after the colored vinyl titles got sold they re-pressed them to black vinyl. In the 1960s, the hippie culture saw Birmingham become a vessel of musical activity, but it wasn't until Black Sabbath formed in 1968 that the city's overt bleakness motivated the birth of a thick and aggressive sound that reflected the reverberating cacophony of factories and steelworks.

It contains several of the band's signature songs, including "Iron Man", "War Pigs" and the title track, which was the band's only Top 20 hit, reaching number 4 in the UK charts.
