It sounds like a poor imitation of what a record is supposed to sound like, or something you'd see on a TV show that is making fun of the supposed inferiority of records; it's absurd. A routinely great artist, much of Sufjan's universal appeal comes from his skills as a gifted narrator, pairing personal musings on love and devotion with commentary on American culture, whilst welding folk and electronica, the ambient and existential. VG/EX means that the item's sleeve is in Very Good condition and the disc is in Excellent condition. I noticed someone below mentioned that the bass was too low on theirs, but that's not a problem with mine.

Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into.

No skipping or 'flaws' in the actual vinyl but the Treble on some of the tracks (most notably disc 1 side A) is absurdly high which has a really negative effect on the vocals at times. I have a copy of the HL variant and I cannot find fault with it - this could be a demo disc for the virtues of vinyl. This is a European repress with lacquers cut by Heino Leja (sides A and C) and KR (3) (sides B and D).
