About this deal

Hi Scott, it's per serving, they are however calculated using an automatic online tool, so if you want exact values based on the ingredients you use then I would advise using an app like MyFitnessPal to work it out. If you’re looking for the method, just keep scrolling further down the post until you see the recipe card ?

To compare properly, consumer expert Martyn James recommends checking how much the egg weighs so you know how much chocolate you're getting for your money. I recommend using a good quality orange extract (not an essence) to get the best orange flavour in these cupcakes. I like to use Digestive biscuits (Graham crackers if you're in the US) for the base, but you could substitute if for another similar biscuit like Hobnobs.

Gently fold in the remaining flour, the baking powder, the orange zest and a pinch of salt until no white streaks remain; stir in the milk and fresh orange juice. This is a nut-free recipe as far as ingredients go, BUT the Terry’s chocolate orange mini eggs do have a may contain warning for nuts.

You can just use two entire chocolate oranges in the mix if you want – it’s not an exact science – but yes I used that originally. This egg, though made in an admittedly cute mould, was far less appealing than the free from white chocolate egg offered by Tesco, lacking in flavour and leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste in the mouth. As I mentioned, you can easily make this entire recipe by hand, so you certainly don’t need any crazy appliances or anything like that.

While it is true that the Easter Bunny rudely only chooses to visit the younger half of the population, grown-ups can still get their chocolate fix by snapping up an Easter egg for themselves. You can do this by hand, but an electric whisk are stand mixer with paddle attachment will provide the best results. I used Terry's chocolate orange segments, Terry's chocolate orange mini eggs, Smarties mini eggs and Cadbury chocolate orange eggs to decorate the cheesecakes, but you can decorate with any orange flavoured chocolate you prefer, there are lots of yummy choices! Also I used a small amount of low fat cream cheese and noticed this was not as stiff as the full fat cream cheese. g | Cholesterol: 100 mg | Sodium: 310 mg | Potassium: 184 mg | Fiber: 2 g | Sugar: 15 g | Vitamin A: 1297 IU | Vitamin C: 0.However, as these cheesecakes are served in Easter eggs you don't need them to set firmly enough to be sliced. The recipe originally said you used 2 Terry’s Chocolate Oranges but you only put one in the mix and save one for decoration but now it says you put in 250g.
