It says "Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl," and it is about a girl named Nikki, who is unpopular, setting up a Halloween party for her school. However, when I overhear mean girl MacKenzie bragging that Brandon’s taking HER to the Halloween dance, I’m totally BUMMED and sign-up instead to spend Halloween at a kid’s party with my bratty, little sister, Brianna.

It's nice to see Nikki and her friends just having fun with each other the way normal teen girls do that it feels almost nostalgic. Hargrove gives Nikki the art supplies for the ballet class's party and a costume courtesy of her niece, MacKenzie. He appears to be a shy, nice, and thoughtful character in Dork Diaries and is also known as one of the smartest people in school along with Theodore L. At the committee's first meeting, MacKenzie invites everyone, including Nikki and her friends, to attend her rescheduled birthday party.
