The cap is then "snapped" over the washer, mating by means of an interlocking peripheral groove and flange. Snap-Caps ( aka "Dome caps" or "UniCaps") were developed more than 40 years ago, and are still the best and most secure way to cover and protect screws, fixings and fasteners.
Because they are UV-stabilised and completely seal the head of the fixing, Snap-Caps are ideal for exterior as well as interior applications. The staff was very helpful and efficient The snap caps were used to cover the screws which hold the toilet down and were just what was required.
Was supplied with a colour matching sample pack before I chose the cap which made colour matching easy. Ensure you are using the correct Washer type for the head of the fixing - you MUST use a CSK Washer with Countersunk-head fixings, and F/B Washer for all "flat-bottomed" fixings such as pan-heads, flange-heads etc.
We wouldn't usually use screw fixings to secure our graphics as our client demands such a high quality finish but having had issues in the past using high bond tapes at this particular location the snap caps were the perfect solution. The sample pack to choose colours is great, it contains all the colours and all the different styles available.

Because Snap-Caps are designed and moulded to very fine tolerances, the caps cannot be pushed on "flat". This Colour Chart should only be used as an indication of the colours available in our colour range. The Snap-Cap washer is available to suit either Countersunk screws, or for any of the ‘Flat-Bottom’ fixings (such as pan-head screws). The next day the materials all arrived along with a sample pack which is a great help to us now for choosing the best colour match to our furniture.The range of colours and quality of the snap caps is only bettered by the service offered by the team. This effect can be easily confirmed, by examining vehicles that use hinge-caps over the number-plate fixings. This provides an airtight and watertight seal that excludes atmosphere and protects the fastener head from rust and corrosion.
Colours marked (M) are a metallic colour - they have a metallic "fleck" throughout them, similar to metallic car paint. can save you time, effort and money by allowing use of cheaper fixings and more simple fixing methods. Good product and delivered promptly, chosing a colour was easy from the sample pack, ideal when matching to an existing sign.
This table indicates some of the different types and sizes of fixings that can be used with Snap-Caps. The Snap-Caps will definitely be regular additions to the signs we produce, as they give the 'attention to detail' finish we really care about. This can cause the fastener to corrode (rust) up to 20 times faster than if a cap had NOT been used! Such an element becomes not only important when we look at issues related to aesthetics, but especially important when we want to secure the apartment so that nothing happens to children and loved ones.
