About this deal

I’m very impressed with the attention to detail, quality of the execution and thoroughness I can see in all aspects.

Indicator/Flasher Relay 3 pin (Original and LED Indicators) Indicator/Flasher Relay 3 pin (Original and LED Indicators)

If your regulator looks like the one below and has 8 pins then yours is the type with a built-in flasher relay. These electronic relays will keep your flash rate constant and keep it standard even if the load on the circuit changes. The blue/ black wire is the wire which runs directly to the indicator switch and then on to the indicator bulbs themselves. Please ensure you have a suitable LED relay fitted to your Caterham when upgrading to any type of LED light. It's very easy to apply a bit of pressure with a small tipped screwdriver to the top of the leg of the IC, and it will snap off. This results in more wiring, things may get hot and you are probably using more power than the standard bulb set up that you just replaced! This guide shows you how to bypass the built-in Piaggio indicator relay and fit a universal 2-pin indicator relay instead.

Test your indicators for each resistor you fit to ensure that they are working correctly and to determine if any more are needed to further slow down the flash rate. In the pictures above we have soldered the new wires on and then covered them with heatshrink tubing but you can use any method you wish provided it makes a secure insulated connection.Resistors get hot during operation, so wrapping them in tape can lead to resistor over heating or worse melting plastic parts around it.

Suitable for many other classic or modern 12v cars or applications with standard filament / incandescent bulbs or LEDs or a mix of filament / incandescent bulbs and LED. Looking to improve your flasher relay performance or are you considering or have you added LED indicator bulbs? They look the same but have different components inside and the casing is made from an inferior plastic. When it comes to upgrading your current indicators to an LED set, simply plugging in the new units isn't quite enough (although fitting them properly doesn’t require you to be a neuroscientist).

Double-Bubble screen replacements from Airblade, with three different smoked options-What more could you want? As the difference in wattage between LED and standard indicators is generally quite large, it is recommended that you will need one resistors per indicator that you are changing.

The relay will switch on and off at a set speed regardless of the current load or whether the indicators are LED or conventional bulbs or a mix of the two. By adding resistors to the wiring you increase the wattage draw from the LED indicators to match what was there before, therefore your existing relay will continue to run as normal with a standard flash rate.Air Filters Everyone knows that bike's engine, in the process of its operation, burns not only gasoline but a mixture of. Because LED bulbs draw far less current than conventional bulbs this confuses the flasher relay which may then flash at the wrong speed or not at all. Maybe you only want to change your rear indicators to LEDs and leave the front indicators standard, or you're struggling to find the right LED relay for your bike.
