About this deal

Hey Girls are doing the best they can do help in the UK, and we need more organisations like theirs globally.

By the time most of us are pregnant, we’ve often already absorbed the idea that our female bodies are dirty / dysfunctional / disgusting etc! Nadya opens with her own story of her first period, because the goal of the book is to dispel all discomfort surrounding menstruation, and she CRUSHES it.This book has a lovely chatty tone that will draw youngsters in and give them all the information that they will need to make sense of their whole cycle. Kate Clancy demolishes the centuries of pseudoscience and misogyny that have wrongly made menstruation seem repulsive, and replaces them with a far more rigorous and fascinating view of this vital and nigh-miraculous act. Created in consultation with young people, an online survey and a group of medical professionals, this is a book that teaches all people about periods, which can be a scary and overwhelming issue. It's not a sudden gush – you'll just see a reddish-brown stain on your pants or on your sheets when you wake up in the morning.

Our groups are designed to help support girls aged 10-12 as they enter puberty and embark on their teenage years. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. In fact, menstrual cycles are incredibly variable and highly responsive to environmental and psychological stressors. Films to watch with the teens - including those that will actually be helpfully educational for them to. Tie the belt around your hips, place a piece of tape or pinch where it reaches, then lay flat and carefully use the ruler to measure the length. The hormones of the menstrual cycle profoundly influence our energy, mood and behaviour, but all too often we're taught that our hormones make us unreliable, moody bitches, or that it's our lot in life to put up with 'women's problems'. Changes during puberty, such as the onset of periods, are challenging for those on the autism spectrum. If you think you've left a tampon in and you can't get it out, go to your GP or nearest sexual health clinic.
